Durham win by 9 wickets

I don't like T20s :( Especially when your first match is up against the reigning champions of all three formats. My batsman had no clue whatsoever against the Durham bowlers, and there were an incredible amount of play and misses. It's saying something when your second best batsman was down at number 9 and his 14 runs came off 25 balls. O'Brien was the only one who looks reasonably comfortable and so he will probably open next match. Di Venuto and Taylor chased down our total with ease. Nothing more to say about that.

MOTM:

Samit Patel (48 not out off 32 balls)

Reaction:

If that's not BS, then I don't know what is.

They needed 48 runs off the last four overs, I had two overs left from Richardson, and one over left from both Nel and Davies. They got it off just 16 balls:

1, 4, 4, 0, 4, 4, 4, 6, 1, 4, 4, 4, 0, 4, 1, 4

I'm just going to farm through these T20 matches, and not post any reaction, as what's the point when BS like that happens.

haha, that was the same with me last season. I could never be bothered commenting on those stupid T20s. But yeah, I don't plan on writing much.

MOTM:

Imran Arif (5/27 off 4)

Points:

Nottinghamshire 2
Worcestershire 0

Comments:

Un****ing believable. They started off strongly with 43 runs off the first 3 overs but a wicket slowed them down slightly but not much. 82/1 after 8 overs so I decide to bring Arif on. 4 wickets in 5 balls, on a hattrick on 2 occassions and they fall to 5-82. Vettori then takes a wicket in the next over and Imran Arif completes his 5fer 2 balls into his second over so he has 5/4 after 1.2 overs and they are 7/93. A tweaking huge partnership between Broad and Franks though was totally unrealistic and gave them a chance to win. They needed 22 runs off 2 overs and Boyd Rankin comes on, traps Franks in front for 48 and then concedes 6 runs off the over so they need 16 off the last over. Since I had stuffed up the overs since I thought it would be over within 15 overs, I had to bowl Mitchell 2 overs and gets hit for 3 fours in a row. Then he bowls a dot, wide and dot. fearsome tweak that wide otherwise we would have won. 3 off 1 ball needed, Broad tweaking pulls through mid on for 4, fearsome tweak this ████.

More BS. We needed 10 runs off the last over, we hit a four off the first ball, so we then needed six runs off five balls, and we went 0, 1, 1, 1, 0.

I am sure that you guys like playing t20's. :p

Nottinghamshire win by 5 wickets

Top order was terrible as usual, but Mitchell and Ali sparked some life into the innings with their knocks, which took us up to a reasonable total of 147. Our bowling failed us however, with Komasaru being the only decent bowler (though Ireland was pretty economical), as they cruised home. The scorecard may look like they were under some pressure, but in reality they had control of the chase from start to finish.

You guys are both one match behind me now.

Am I right to assume that that date is a type, and you mean the 10th?

Worcestershire won by 7 wickets with 25 balls remaining

MOTM:

AB de Villiers (101* off 42 balls)

Points:

Worcestershire 2
Northamptonshire 0

Comments:

AB de Villiers, what a legend. I thought we had absolutely no chance chasing over 190, Moore got out for 2 and we were 1/7. Mitchell played a good knock with 46 off 26 balls with 7 fours and Ali was superb at the end getting us over the line very quickly to boost our NRR with 42* off 24 with 8 fours but it was AB who stole the show scoring an absolutely magnificent 101* off only 42 balls with 17 fours and 2 sixes, a total of 80 runs in boundaries. He played so well that it only took us 15.5 overs to chase it down. Hall copped a lot going for 53 from his 4 overs as well as Daggett who conceded 42 runs in his 2.5 overs. Only Vaas went at less than 10 an over but he still had figures of 0/39 from 4 overs. That win moves us up to 6th.
