Yorkshire win by 6 runs

A pretty par bowling performance restricted them to 150, with Richardson and Ireland bowling well, and Komasaru being economical. Rudolph steadied their innings, carrying his bat, while Wainwright added some late impetus. Mitchell got out early, with Aimson following shortly afterwards. O'Brien was pretty good, but not as aggressive as normal, leaving the big shots to Ali. Ali was looking good for a big score to take us home, but fell just short of his half century. Kelly provided good support, but Kervezee couldn't continue his good form, with us eventually falling 6 runs short. The openers seem to have lost their touch. We're now seventh on the table.

Incase you're wondering how I finished on 110 for 6, I have no idea either.
I started everyone on 7 out of 8 aggression bars (very aggressive), yet they didn't get out and they didn't score very fast at all.

:p

I would actually class myself as ████ at T20 matches. :p

Even when I play as the major international teams, I struggle to beat the minnows at the T20 world cup.

I feel your pain. I think I'm in about season 2031 with Victoria and have won the Aus league and one day cup numerous times but only won the T20 comp once! I dread that 5 match period in the middle of the season because I know I will just fail miserably. Generally I can't get my batsmen to score runs at all and if they do score they score annoyingly slowly ahah, so frustrating.

haha, normally I hate T20s as well if I'm being good teams. In the end, normally I just rest my inform players so they don't lose form and chuck in the reserve guys and the guys in no form and hope that they can make a big score to get that form up.

I'll play my match probably later tonight if I get time.

Comments:

AB de Villiers, you legend. The main reason I took the gloves away from him is so that I could bowl him :p AB and Ali were lethal with the bat putting on a 177 run partnership to give us a total of well over 200, Ali unlucky not to score in triple figures for the first time in his T20 career although AB did it for the third time this season. They had to come out swinging and they did that and lost their wickets cheaply, only Laxman really getting going scoring 39 but the 2 South Africans did well to help bowl them out, with McKay and Patterson showing some tailend resistance but their 35 run partnership meant nothing really as we won by nearly 100 runs. AB de Villiers though, 105, 4/27 and 1 spectacular catch off Wheeldon at slip.

Were they tail end wickets? Though I suppose they tried to smash him around the park and got themselves out

Well he took 3 wickets in his third over but couldn't take any in his last to complete his 5fa.

He took the wickets of Bairstow (13), Wainwright (6), McGrath (10) and Shahzad (0) so pretty much the middle order (4, 6, 7 and 8)

Comments:

OMG, AB de Villiers finally failed with the bat... but he took an unbelievable 5/30 after being hit for 14 runs in his first over. Another easy win though as Ali was again excellent with the bat and Stafford and Solanki did well as well.

Are you sure you haven't edited his rating?
Maybe you did it for a joke patch, and forgot to change it back?

:rolleyes
