Lancashire win by 18 runs

It was just not meant to be. Katich just smashed the bowlers everywhere and we had no answer to him, as he formed a defining partnership with Whitehead. We didn't start too well, with O'Brien and Sehwag playing pretty slowly which led to us being behind the NRR. Aimson and Rush tried as hard as they could, but they couldn't catch up to the required score, and we fell 18 runs short. As it happens, it wouldn't have made a difference because both Warwickshire and Durham won, leaving us four points adrift in sixth place.

Can you guys both post your T20 team results, so just the one line of the table that's Worcestershire, so I can post a T20 table of us on the first post.

So for me:

P 16, W 8, L 7, T 1, NR 0, Pts 17, NetRR -0.14

Both your NRR's are more or less impossible.

A NRR of +13.9 implies that on average every match your NRR is +13.9 ahead of your opposition. That requires you to score 278 every match, and then get the other team all out for nothing.

Also -3.81 is incredibly low, that means on average you're losing by like 75 runs a match.

ICC did have a problem with how it's worked out, but I told them and they fixed it in one of the patches, have you guys got all of the patches?

They used to add the NRR from each match on top of each other, instead of averaging it out, but that's fixed in my ICC at least.

Comments:

Back to our winning ways. Flowers played superbly yet again. Ali played very well with the bat and got a deserved 150. Moore hit his second FC century of the season while debutant, Norris played well in his 47 before getting bowled by Panesar, and he looked solid, only playing and missing at 2 balls. Meanwhile, our other debutant, Christopher Pears looked on form early as he took the wicket of Hume in his first over, a quick ball that skidded a bit along the surface to trap him in front and he took the wicket of Gatting later in the innings to take 2/46 in the first innings. In the second innings, he only managed one wicket, dismissing Luke Wright and taking figures of 1/31 for the innings so he has 3 wickets @ 25.67 in his one match so far. What a talent this guy is.

What a bore these FC matches are.

No BS, Surrey have played 10 matches, and they've drawn eight of them.

Overall almost 50% of the matches in our division have been draws.

The funny thing is we played so useless, but we somehow almost managed to win.

Our batting was a shambles, but we managed to post over 200, then our bowling was terrible, but we managed to take the game to the second to last over.

Comments:

cricket, we got dominated. Moore got us off to a fiery start but Mitchell back from injury only made 6. Kervezee looked good for his 20 odd but then Ali ran him out. Ali tried to turn it around with a quickfire innings and got to 26 off 17 before he got himself out. Adler proved handy down the order and Flowers and Arif made starts but we were bowled out with still 12 overs left in the innings. None of the bowlers really bowled well, apart from Pear in his second spell who took the wickets of both openers to finish with 2/45 from his 8 overs but apart from that, we played ████. Now we're in third place but we have a game in hand over first place as well as fourth although Surrey has a game in hand also over us and are only 2 points behind and have a better NRR so if they win their 6th match, we will be behind them.

Another draw. Rush, on first class debut, showed no nerves at all as he scored a great century. There were no risks taken in his innings which held the innings together. He found support in Kervezee down the order, and couple with late hitting from Komasaru took us to a decent total. In reply, the Glamorgan batsmen were aggressive, with both openers scoring fast fifties, before Dalrymple came to the crease. Luckily, once the top three were dismissed, the rest of the batsmen didn't make too much, as we dismissed them for a reasonably small first innings lead. In reply, Aimson, Ali, Kervezee and Wheeldon scored quick half centuries. The total wasn't inviting enough for Glamorgan to chase however, and the game ended in a tame draw. Great initial signs from Rush however.
