Not the best of attacks put in by Madrid. Modric should have been more aggressive when attacking. Benzema was okay but that miss could have been an easy second goal for him if he hadn't been that slow in run. Bale was awesome in the end, his come back will mean a lot to other team mates especially Ronaldo and Benzema. Ramos was brilliant behind, had all under control even without Varane for a bit, Arbeloa needs to stay back at least in CL.

Although the shots were straight at him, one can't agree more on this as they were fast and powerful - hoped only for deflection when the free kicks were to be taken. really Kroos needs to get a chance to take a free kick, that guy can swerve the ball according to the needs and can place wherever he wants with a frecious power.

Btw that decision to send Markovic off was downright ridiculous. He was utterly stupid to do what he did, but a sending off for that was just unbelievably harsh and completely killed the game off. Even Basel's English feed didn't think it was a red! Looked very lively since coming on man..

yea, enrique shouldn't have started ahead of moreno. in fact, he never should.

I don't think it was harsh tbh. he deserved it. whether or not the basel player exaggerated (which he did), is irrelevant. you just can't do that, and there's no defense for it.
