Norwich were better than Stoke and they scored from the oldest trick in the book, the long thrown in headed over the goalkeeper. There was a Stoke fan 2 seats across from where I was, it was particularly annoying when they scored.

Don't say we didn't warn you...

Bywater is terrible, not surprised Jewell wanted to get shot of him.

Bywater was pretty good at Coventry, we loaned him from West Ham (I think). Tim Howard at Everton has tourettes.
Also, a bit of news to tell you:

Coventry City have signed Manchester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel on loan. Woooo! But we really do need a striker too.

Latest table and results updated in first post.

God that's a good signing for Coventry. I don't really like Marshall, he never seems to be right in the big games (West Brom, Watford and Barnsley to be examples). What has happened to Mifsud lately? I never hear his name mentioned when I look at Coventry's games and he ain't scored for a little while now I think.

Anyway moving to West Brom, according to a mate of mine, we were on top of the game for most of the match and we only made one mistake at the back when Barnett missed the ball which lead to the goal. It a shame really because we would have moved ahead of Watford with a game in hand.

Going onto the Stoke versus Norwich game. Jamie Cureton (West Brom fan btw) missed three golden opportunities. All Stoke are doing is what West Brom did a few years ago when we went up in 2001/02 season. Ugly football, full out defence but more importantly scoring their few chances which is whats vital to get out this division.

Finally on to Ipswich, Bywater is a good goalkeeper if he has got a good defence infront of him, not saying that Ipswich haven't got a good defence. At Portman Road, it's a fortress but away from home they are so poor. If they had sorted out their away form early in the season, I'd bet they would have been in the top 2 right now.

Norwich have loads of players on loan:

Alex Pearce (Reading)
Mo Camara (Derby County)
Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal)
Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea)
James Henry (Reading)
Ched Evans (Manchester City)

What are we going to do next season when they are back at their clubs? They are all very important to us at the moment. It would be nice to keep Evans, he is a gun.

I'm sure Norwich has got money to spend, your not in financial trouble as I understand, so there shouldn't be a problem. Besides which Roeder has only been in the job for about 8-9 months now, so the summer coming will be his first as manager of Norwich.

It's just over 5 months since Roeder took over. We are not in financial trouble, but Mrs Smith & Mr Wynn-Jones are always reluctant to give money to the manager. They have promised to do this in the summer though.

I aplogise, I hadn't realise that he had only been in that short time. I sure that Glenn Roeder will have a list of players he wants to buy and I'm sure he has got the respect of some players which will help him get thoughs bigger names.

I appreciate the fact you are trying to sit on the fence, but damn have we got a bad defence!

Our form at PR recently has been mediocre, and our away form is poor as anything.

Try having two citeh fans next to you at the derby!:p

I'm sorry to interupt the thread of the greatest football league in the world, but here's my two penny's worth on the promotion chase. I haven't seen much of Bristol City, but for them to be at the top of the league having only been promoted last year, is an achievement in itself, so I wouldn't mind them coming up. From all accounts, Watford still aren't ready for the Premiership. West Brom are playing decent football, and they've got Miller and Phillips, but I'm not sure if either of them would be willing to play in the inferior league if they got promoted.

Anyway, from an outside view, I'm going for West Brom and Bristol City.

Ipswich have signed Shefki Kuqi on loan until the end of the season, which is amazing news given that Jon Walters looks likely to miss the run-in with a knee injury requiring surgery.

Could conceivable have Pearce and Henry back on loan next year since they aren't in Reading first team plans yet. Kieran Gibbs has done nothing at a higher level to suggest Arsenal should keep him so he could well be released. Mo Camara is set to be released by Derby as well, he's old and they're obviously trying to plan for the future in the Championship. Bertrand has been going on loan for years and will again, and besides he'd only cost about ?250,000 unless QPR get involved and price the bidding up. Evans won't be sold by Man City but he could be sent out on loa again next year, especially considering their main target in the market is for a new world class first team striker.

Having said all this Delia will give Roeder no money at all as always unless he sells bid.

Barnsley? We have beaten them 4-1 away and 4-0 at home? He didn't play bad??? And he wasn't that bad against Watford, but the defence was awful. And to be honest, he rarely has a bad game. Occasionally yes, but we have replaced him because he needs an operation and so does Konstantopoulos, but what a signing!

Thats is EXACTLY what happens to us. We are always the better side, and we have 10+ shots on target, and they nick a goal or two. We were so much better than Sheff Utd last game, and when you are on a bad run, nothing goes right.

What has happened to Mifsud lately? I never hear his name mentioned when I look at Coventry's games and he ain't scored for a little while now I think.

Noone knows. He just can't get the darn thing in the goal, but he still plays very well. Most of the time, definately since Coleman has took charge, he has played on teh right wing, so he obviously isn't going to get as many goals. He plays well, makes plenty of chances, assists quite a few goals, but doesn't get himself on the scoresheet. Everything else is there, and when he scores one he is likely to score quite a few again. Its a confidence thing. And he is still a very wanted player by many Premiership clubs.
