Baggy Blues back for the 3rd and final day.

Muller 450 is brought up

227.1 4 Gonasilan to Muller
Outside off stump and pitched too short. Muller wastes no time in thrashing that through the covers for four.

Lol holly crap that is amazing. Didn't think you could lose from the position you were in yesterday.

Love it, lets see what the comment is at 600.
242.2 1 Cooper to Muller
He squares up the batsman who only manages to fend it out to the region of mid wicket.
A 500!!! Wow, not seen one of those since Lara.

End of Over 243 (7 runs). Baggy Blues: 1432-5, runrate=5.89
Cooper 33-0-234-0
Muller* 500 (537 balls)

Fighting Mongooses were sent in on a green surface in this big #2 vs #3 clash

Fighting Mongooses 9/447 (110.0)
Barton 199 n.o.
Whaley 71
Sheppard 48
Graves 4/113 (28.0)

Barton providing a Lara-esque effort will seek his 3rd 200 of the season tomorrow morning.
Exciting scenes as Fighting Mongooses produced a massive burst of acceleration to create a late victory.

As if the will of the gods, Barton scored a single to make the double before Moodley was given caught behind in just the fourth ball of the day. 448 was nevertheless a substantial total, although Ball Droppers initially looked good to catch it, 0/50 in just 10.1 overs. It took another 20 overs to find the next 50, but the openers were still holding firm. The partnership finally cracked on 102. It was no collapse however and the next breakthrough was not for another 10 overs.

Although the wickets held, it was progressively at the cost of a chance at victory. It was more than 30 overs to the second 100 and it took 72 overs to see the 4th wicket fall. Pearse stood at the crease for 103 overs but when he departed for 130, the score was just 6/284, finally scraping 300 in the last over of the day.

Entering the third day still to conclude Ball Dropper's first innings, Fighting Mongooses could neither bank on a strong first innings lead nor time to push the game beyond doubt.

They fired up to remove the last four of Ball Droppers' wickets for 3 runs in under 10 overs. With a lead of just 145, they simply had to bat again. Wickets were not a problem but the run rate had to be good. The innings took a while to get going, but eventually picked up to around 4 an over. Barton brought some much welcome firepower to the crease and at lunch, they led by 265. Although the time left was dwindling, 265 was still quite gettable in 70 overs and so they continued after lunch, pushing the lead for a further 10 overs to 296.

Cable and Sheppard opened to limit Pearse and everyone was on their game. They made 3 breakthroughs in their initial partnership which was changed shortly before tea. It was a pensive 8 overs before Moodley and Wharrad toppled Pearse for the fourth wicket. Moodley soon took a couple more and suddenly the game seemed to have turned miraculously. Cable and Sheppard returned needing only 3 wickets, which they took before the 50th over, with 15 overs to spare.

Fighting Mongooses won by 194 runs.

End of Over 40: 265-3, runrate=6.63
Gordon 10-0-81-1
Caledera* 6 (9 balls)
Dodds 28 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Dunn c. Norris b. Gordon 132 (FOW: 248/3)

Playing a bot, flat pitch at home. Does it get any better? :p Dunn opened and just fell short of passing his top score of 140. Dodds can hit out quickly and I am hoping that Caledera can do the same.

End of Over 11: 62-0, runrate=5.64, reqrunrate=1.31 (112-10)
Mistry 6-0-26-0
Nicholls* 22 (21 balls)
Fontaine 36 (45 balls)

4th is now certained! I have achieved one of my season goals

End of Over 48: 339-4, runrate=7.06
Mirfin 9-0-62-0
Henry* 15 (10 balls)
Dodds 60 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Caledera c. Eustace b. Blizzard 33 (FOW: 307/4)

350 is defiently on here. Dodds is playing great and Henry is supporting nicely. Shame that Caledera got out because he was playing nicely.

0.5 W Bradshaw to Castle
Castle seemed to almost get out of the way of that. An absolute steam train of a delivery. It clipped his pads before going on to the stumps and although he's out, he'll be comforted that he can still feel his legs.

Great start! A wicket in the first over! :)

0.6 W Bradshaw to Champness
Did he find the edge? Dunn certainly thinks so, and the umpire agrees! Champness will be very disappointed with that, just pushed at a wide one.

Two in two for Bradshaw, in the first over! Next over he is on a hat-trick! Gotta love this :)

Awesome stuff LH.

Dam bot won the toss so my last bot of the season ends up with me bowling them out for under a 100 :(

Angry Leg Spinners 10/63 (Borrowdale 3-7 [7 ov], Mohammed 2-11 [6 ov])
Baggy Blues 0/64 in 8 overs (Chavhanga 34*, Masibulele 29*)

Gonna try and start playing BT again, So I obvo haven't chose the team.

End of Over 39: 148-4, runrate=3.79
Govender 10-1-31-0
Watson* 4 (9 balls)
Nokwe 78 (104 balls)
Last Wicket: Moxey b. Butcher 50 (FOW: 138/4)

A green pitch, hope I make 200+

39.5 nb4 Butcher to Watson
no ball, All aboard the last train to Boundary City - four runs!

39.6 4 Butcher to Watson
That's as good a cut shot as you’ll ever see. Four runs.

40.4 4 Wallis to Watson
That's sliced through the outfield like a hot knife through butter. One bounce and over the rope for 4.

40.5 4 Wallis to Watson
Short, picked up to a vacant deep square boundary, well placed.

41.1 4 Johnstone to Watson
Lovely shot, Watson's timing was like a Swiss watch.

41.4 6 Johnstone to Watson
Johnstone watches on helpless as that ball is smacked into next week...six runs.

:D

Nice total by your side Jaz.

Crushing win for you Syl. Thanks for the compliment. Bots are just great fun to play against :D

Max won the toss and elected to bat, happy enough with that.
Wasn't looking good for me after 2 overs.

End of Over 2: 19-0, runrate=9.50
Hitish 1-0-13-0
Meyer* 10 (5 balls)
Mainey 9 (7 balls)

Then Mr Barrowdale does his business

2.4 W Borrowdale to Nicholls
Bowled! The long walk back to the pavilion begins now. Nicholls was well beaten there!
2.3 W Borrowdale to Mainey
Gone! Borrowdale has bowled Mainey with a yorker. To top it off, Mainey's broken his bat as he slammed it into the pitch trying to keep that delivery out.

Missed the hattrick.

Hitish then came into the fore.

7.1 W Hitish to Glody
Glody goes for the on-drive, but gets a thick edge. Masibulele dives like a goalie and snags it brilliantly.

End of Over 10: 51-3, runrate=5.10
Hitish 5-0-26-1
Meyer* 26 (28 balls)
Gore 8 (10 balls)
Last Wicket: Glody c. Masibulele b. Hitish 4 (FOW: 39/3)
