Just when everything was starting to look good Cable double strikes.

15.2 W Cable to Sawyer
That's hit straight up, Cable is under it... caught!
15.1 W Cable to Chavhanga
A stinker! Looks like it pitched outside leg to me. Cable looks a little surprised by the decision. Next man in please.

He loves playing the Baggy Blues :( That was Crouch's best performance against a good side, but Sawyer still seems to love that opening spot.

Nice 50 by Masi, at least hes standing up when Chav fails.
23.1 1 Cable to Masibulele
Late cut, to the right of Barton. The batsmen take a single.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

End of Over 25: 122-3, runrate=4.88
Gross 6-0-30-0
Fincher* 19 (32 balls)
Masibulele 54 (72 balls)
Last Wicket: Sawyer c & b. Cable 0 (FOW: 80/3)

It's funny, IRL it seems to be great if you've got an all-rounder who can open, but in Battrick it's just a tragedy.

Problem for me is if I don't open him he seems to do crap. Although I'm still yet to figure if he can open without GFI.

Was expecting Ray to go and the collapse but Ray has stuck around. Won't be for too much longer though. Masi probably will get out soon too.

End of Over 39: 197-5, runrate=5.05
Wharrad 10-0-45-1
Ray* 17 (21 balls)
Masibulele 99 (120 balls)
Last Wicket: Germon c. Sephake b. Mckinley 7 (FOW: 154/5)

*cough*
Right on cue

End of Over 44: 211-10, runrate=4.80
Mckinley 6-0-31-4
Borrowdale* 1 (3 balls)

See look, you happy now?

I've been quite happy with Sephake's development, he's quite the aspiring Gilchrist. Right now though, I think I actually need Gilchrist.

Hehe was happy after the first over now I'm just depressed again. 2nd time you've whacked my star bowler around.
Sephake is giving me a sign that I should be playing Crouch at 4.

Far from over with my star bowler still 15 overs away. I would feel more comfortable when I get one of these two. I have no trust in Fernades or Ahmed especially when it comes to keeping the runs down.

Mampe got the break through I needed and from them it was just when. Ahmed had his best performance and once it again it's when I'm about to sell a player!

And that's the end of the match. Baggy Blues won by 70 runs.
Baggy Blues 211-10
Fighting Mongooses 141-10

Ahmed 9-1-27-5

Keeps our trend up, tic for tac. No surprise who will win our next match...

the seam bowlers are having a field day here. Mine had a cracking blitz to skittle them for 145 i just hope my top order canhold out to see this one through.

I'm sure I'll have one or two new guns in and it will be like omgwtfbbq

Gearing up to face The Monkeys!!! at their ground which still has a dusty pitch set. This is an important match as we're both equal on points in the fight for second place and promotion to the top division. It's going to be a bit tougher for me as my two trainees are playing in the middle order in place of experienced Glody and Brazier who were sold last week.

Welcome to The Monkeys!!! CG for the match between The Monkeys!!! and BFN Bombers.

We can tell you that The Monkeys!!! won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

Dry in the report, yet dusty on his ground page. Oh well! Samuel needs to perform with my potentially weak batting line-up today, can't afford to chase a high score.

End of Over 1: 0-3, runrate=0.00
Samuel 1-1-0-3
Apple* 0 (0 balls)
Gustav 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Nokes b. Samuel 0 (FOW: 0/3)
0.6 W Samuel to Nokes
He's ripped the stumps apart like a chainsaw through balsa wood. Middle lies flat whilst leg stump rests up by Meyer.

0.5 W Samuel to Branch
Big noise and out! Meyer takes an easy catch and although Branch looks bemused, Hot Spot shows a huge spot on his bat where the ball nicked on the way through. No arguments there, son!

0.4 . Samuel to Branch
Wide enough for Branch to leave this alone, so he does just that.
0.3 W Samuel to Eyles
He plays all around a straight one and is plumb in front.

0.2 . Samuel to Eyles
Nothing special about the delivery, but the keeper looked to have said something to Eyles that unsettled him. Meyer is winning the battle here.
0.1 . Samuel to Eyles
Samuel has overpitched that ball, but Eyles has failed to put it away.

Couldn't have wished for a better start really, just need to get rid of Apple, he can still cause me problems.

LMAO looks like I might avoid FC promotion after all and I didn't even try :p

I'm on 225 and SCIB 213. So far I've got 4 batting bonus points. Hes got 3 bowling bonus points and the 1 batting bonus point. That leaves the result as me 229 him 219. What is funny is if he chases my total he wins the game and promotes. Now I'm pretty sure he can't declare so he could have screwed himself!

End of Over 5 (4 runs). SCIB: 21-0, runrate=4.20 (1st Inn: 207-2 dec)
Trail by 251 runs. (Baggy Blues 357-10 & 122-10)
Sam 3-0-12-0
Ridge* 11 (17 balls)
Sam 10 (13 balls)
