This is what I don't want to happen,

39.6 W Cameron to Alshaun
Amazing flight there from Cameron! That ball drifted and dipped in the air before ripping out of the footmarks and taking off stump! Alshaun bowled through the gate.

Very crucial stage of the match now in progress,

End of Over 40: 205-5, runrate=5.13, reqrunrate=2.40 (228-10)
Cameron 10-2-49-1
Malik* 50 (46 balls)
Walton 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Alshaun b. Cameron 87 (FOW: 205/5)

surendar added 5 Minutes and 5 Seconds later...

Nooooooooooooooooo

40.6 W Breedt to Walton
He's gone! A vicious rising bouncer just caught the shoulder of Walton's bat and flew straight into the bucket-like hands of Cameron at third slip.

Very close now :mad

End of Over 41: 212-6, runrate=5.17, reqrunrate=1.89 (228-10)
Breedt 6-0-24-2
Malik* 52 (49 balls)
Field 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Walton c. Cameron b. Breedt 5 (FOW: 212/6)

com'on just 16 more to get.. stay patient and get it! :upray

What a game, Suren! :D Malik needs to take you home now.

They're falling in pairs!
40.4 W Davidson to Keigher
Gone! Hodge snaps up the ball after taking Keigher's thin outside edge. Good length delivery, it was straight and the batsman had an apprehensive poke at it.
41.1 W Gilbert to Jakobus
Great reaction catch by Hodge, taking a ball flicked down leg side at full stretch.

Jakobus has gone! He got less than Rasiani and Hodgson though. :D Should win this now.

Good comeback Jaz :)

And my match is over.. Field has finished off the match in style,

43.1 6 Hockley to Field
Up, up and away! Don't bother running for that one.

Nice style to wrap up the match. :)

And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 4 wickets.
Broady 228-10
HuntingTigers 231-6

Malik* 61 (56 balls)
Field 10 (6 balls)

Alshaun and Malik did an exceptional job of rescuing the team. No wonder, Alshaun is still the captain of HT though there are better players in my team. :) In most of the crucial occasions, Alshaun will be waging the lonely battle. :)

Tough luck, LF.. Better luck next game! :)

End of Over 18: 83-3, runrate=4.61
Lester 4-0-28-0
Anthony* 35 (29 balls)
Cox 41 (47 balls)

Nice recovery. One of these needs to make a decent hundred, though.

And that's the end of the match. Greenbank won by 12 runs.
Greenbank 260-3
Verizon Java Kings 248-7

Awesome, a win. Was a close-ish game. I think our ratings will be similiar. To be honest, he would of got destroyed if I played Sotho and Rashid but I didn't, so good game.

Good luck in the future Verizon. :)

Good win Jaz :) Congrads :thumbs Another close game.. I guess its a "close win" day for the games in England. ;)

Haha looks that way Suren. Looking forward to playing against you again, my team is stronger than last time, and I think I can give you a run for your money as long as Alshaun and Malik do poor. :p

End of Over 47: 257-10, runrate=5.47
Allen 9-2-48-7
Hunt* 2 (3 balls)

Fantastic recovery from 14-3.

Only Maxfield and Allen caused my batsmen problems, luckily I saw off Maxwell's first spell without any damage.

Great start for my bowlers, too.

End of Over 5: 18-2, runrate=3.60, reqrunrate=5.33 (257-10)
Raven 3-0-11-1
Allen* 3 (3 balls)
Softley 0 (1 balls)

Are you at full strength?

yea but i dont know where maxfield bats best or orders and im still figuring out seaby at club level.

Fighting Mongooses elected to bat at Palab's home ground. The pitch should take turn, but there could be a bit of swing too.

Fighting Mongooses have gone with a standard team, they could have had Gross after some good bowling through the week, but they don't expect conditions to suit a third fast man. They'll be looking to Sephake, Barton and Dodge to get runs early and provide a platform to get the middle order firing. Wharrad and Moodley will look to bang the new ball in and extract any bounce they can, with Cable and McKinley to use the worn pitch and Sheppard's swing could become important later.

Palab Tigers go in with the three spinners, Eli, Toulson and Hargreaves with just a couple of medium pacers in Khalil and Goodman. They'll also hope there is a bit of swing, but mostly counting on the turn. The new ball might not do too much for them, though. Later we'll see that engine room of Rollins, McKinley, Brackenbridge and Rayno. They could certainly handle a decent chase, but if they fail, a bit of a long lower order might be exposed.

Sephake opens his account
0.3 6 Khalil to Sephake
Good line and length from Khalil but Sephake has come charging down the pitch and reaches it on the half volley. A big swing and the ball is out of the park.
But Eli takes his partner
1.3 W Eli to Sheppard
Missed everything but middle stump...
Barton was looking to play the anchor role, but Sephake played some cracking shots to make the Tigers nervous
5.1 6 Eli to Sephake
He's hit that clean as a whistle over Eli's head. It's right out of the ground!
6.2 4 Khalil to Sephake
Cracking shot! Brackenbridge chases the ball but he's not going to make it this time. Four runs.
7.1 4 Eli to Sephake
Sephake steps down the wicket and pulls Eli over mid wicket's head. The ball rushes to the fence for four.
10.3 4 Khalil to Sephake
Short and Sephake on it very quickly, pulling behind square and all along the ground for four.
10.4 4 Khalil to Sephake
Full delivery and smeared away to backward point for four.
And he brought up his 50 in just 42 balls
12.4 4 Khalil to Sephake
That's trickling away to the boundary like a rolling stone. Four runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
He hit yet another six
17.6 6 Goodman to Sephake
In the air, it's gone for six. It's gone for miles!
But having taken the score to 101 in 20 overs, he was trapped and gave a relaxing wicket-maiden to Goodman.
19.6 W Goodman to Sephake
Plumb in front of middle peg. Sephake has to walk.
[/B]
Dodge was the new man in.
21.4 4 Hargreaves to Dodge
No footwork, but bludgeoned to mid wicket.
Barton down the other end was being very careful, but kept the score ticking over. After 30 overs, they were 2/140
30.2 4 Toulson to Barton
Waits on it and a great late cut.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
Toulson finished his overs with 0/31. Very tidy, but he would have given a few for a wicket. Goodman took 1/47, the key wicket of Sephake early. After 40 overs, Dodge and Barton were still together, they were surely on top, 2/184. The only thing that tensed them up was Eli returning to bowl his last 5 overs. They'd managed him early on, but they had to push the run rate.
42.6 W Eli to Barton
Oh dear, that ball has barely bounced at all. Barton couldn't get his bat down in time and loses his off stump.
He'd worked hard for his 82. Hamed is the new man.
43.2 W Hargreaves to Hamed
There was absolutely no turn on that whatsoever. Goodness knows how Hamed didn't pick it. Hargreaves will hope his mom is recording this at home.
First ball! Hargreaves finishes with 1/49, the Mongooses have slumped a bit at 4/216 in 44.

Dodge finds 50 in 71 balls.
44.3 1 Eli to Dodge
Flicked off his pads to mid wicket.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
The runs keep coming, 4/223 in 45

Eli strikes!
46.2 W Eli to Dodge
Paul has pulled off a great stumping. Simply brilliant.
46.3 W Eli to Newby
Through the gap and bowled! The fielding side congregate in the middle but Eli looks a little taken aback as Pilgrim pats his bottom.
Xavier Eli bowls for the hat trick...
46.4 W Eli to Mckinley
Slower ball not picked by Mckinley, he was through the shot too soon and he spoons a sitter back to Eli
He's got 5/45. That makes a difference. Fighting Mongooses 7/226 in 47. Tail exposed.
47.2 W Khalil to Wharrad
An inswinger deceives Wharrad all ends up and rips out his middle stump.
47.4 W Khalil to Cable
Bowled him! He played all round it!
47.5 W Khalil to Moodley
Thin edge and gone. Great take by Paul, diving to his left!
Khalil got smacked around early on, but he is up to the task. He takes 3/45 in 7.5 overs.

So the asking price is 227. Chances looks slim, but it is enough to bowl at.

Wharrad is the first to close an account
2.6 W Wharrad to Mckinley
Mckinley was expecting that one to cut away off the seam but it straightened up as the crow flies, found the gap and split middle and leg.
but Brackenbridge takes some vengeance
4.3 4 Wharrad to Brackenbridge
Full delivery, cut to deep backward point. Hamed, diving to stop the ball, touches the rope in the process.
4.4 4 Wharrad to Brackenbridge
Driven through extra cover for four more. Glorious stroke there.
4.5 4 Wharrad to Brackenbridge
Shot! Poor ball, a rank full toss wide of off stump and Brackenbridge steers that between gully and point and with no third man thats four to him.
The Tigers race to 1/67 in the first 10. Rollins is only getting started.
10.4 6 Wharrad to Rollins
Well he just belted that one into the stands. In fact he's hit it so hard the spectators and stewards are having to prise it out of the seating!
11.5 6 Moodley to Rollins
Too short, much too short from Moodley and he's hooked that a mile into the stands. Good catch from that elderly fellow in the stands. He watched that all the way and never took his eyes off it. Six runs for Rollins nonetheless.
Brackenbridge joins in
12.5 6 Wharrad to Brackenbridge
Oh my word, Brackenbridge has really got hold of that one!
Rollins hurtles to 50 in 38 balls
13.1 4 Moodley to Rollins
That shot by Rollins was worth the admission money alone. Four glorious runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
And they bring up the 100 in 14 overs. Time for a double change, methinks. Cable and Sheppard on.

Brackenbridge hits 50 in 42 balls
13.1 4 Moodley to Rollins
That shot by Rollins was worth the admission money alone. Four glorious runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
but Cable is in no mood
16.5 W Cable to Brackenbridge
Out! Brackenbridge lurches forward clumsily and a bat-pad chance is held by Hamed at short leg.
Rayno doesn't last long
19.4 W Sheppard to Rayno
What reflexes! The ball has been smashed straight back at him by Rayno and Sheppard has put his hands up to protect his face but somehow he's also managed to hold onto the ball.
Fighting Mongooses might think they're back on track with that. 3/127 in 20 overs.

3/161 in 30 overs. Toulson is cautious, but Rollins keeps, uh, well, rolling.
30.1 4 Cable to Rollins
That's beaten Dodge and it trickles to the boundary for four runs.
30.3 6 Cable to Rollins
Where has that gone? I see it. It's hitting that building over there. WOW! What a shot from Rollins.
His hundred is raised in 86 balls
32.1 1 Cable to Rollins
One run, Rollins drives it to deep mid off for a single.
And that's a century for Rollins! Well played indeed Sir!
And Cable finishes with 1/45. He's had better. McKinley on the other hand, you could be forgiven for not realising that he's out there. His first 5 overs have been snuck in for just 5 runs. With the Tigers only 52 from victory, it might just be a key performance.

Wharrad and Moodley come back for a second spell.
37.2 W Moodley to Rollins
His score will advance no further, Rollins has edged that ball onto the stumps. Good allround bowling peformance there from Moodley.
The danger man is out! He only managed 6 more runs since his hundred 16 balls ago. He was starting to tire and finally made a mistake.
39.6 W Moodley to Toulson
Too short from Moodley, but effective nonetheless. Toulson tried to hook that out of the ground, but could only pick out the man lurking ten yards inside the midwicket boundary!
Wharrad finishes with 1/66, but with those late wickets Moodley got 2/51. Toulson on the other hand managed 16 in 64 balls. Pilgrim and Paul are the men at the crease, neither is set. At 5/192 in 40 overs, they might be asking if they're still on top.

Sheppard is in for the final spell. He did okay early, but was involved in a few extras.
40.4 W Sheppard to Paul
A big slash by Paul gets a thin edge that goes straight through to the keeper who takes the catch easily.
Paul goes for a golden duck. He's a keeper not a batsman, Jim. 6/197. Goodman comes in. 41 overs gone, but overs are not the key here.

Pilgrim isn't going to stand around
41.3 6 Mckinley to Pilgrim
Our American friends would call that a home run! One step, one almighty swing and it's gone out of the ground! Mckinley is just standing there shaking his head in disbelief.
6/206 (42.0) 22 to win
6/209 (43.0) 19 to win
43.4 W Mckinley to Goodman
Mckinley's just stuck out a hand there. Goodman can't believe his luck. Great catch.
7/213 (44.0) 15 to win
44.2 W Sheppard to Khalil
Gone! Sheppard has bowled Khalil with a yorker. To top it off, Khalil's broken his bat as he slammed it into the pitch trying to keep that delivery out.
44.3 W Sheppard to Hargreaves
Hargreaves gives himself some room to try to play a fine late cut, but he only succeeds in steering a simple catch into the safe gloves of Sephake.
Double strike by Sheppard and no advance in the score, but nothing heroic needed by the batsmen to get over the line. What does Pilgrim do now?
45.1 W Mckinley to Pilgrim
Attempts the cut but the ball is lower than Pilgrim anticipated and he only succeeds in chopping it onto his own stumps! Bowled him, albeit with some assistance!
Oh dear. Well, that's that. Fighting Mongooses have won a thriller by 14 runs.

McKinley finishes with 2/18 in 7.1 overs, Sheppard has 4/24 in 8 overs and Barton is Man of the Match for his gritty 82.
