End of Over 42: 154-6, runrate=3.67
Muller 9-1-25-0
Samuel* 6 (5 balls)
Nicholls 56 (104 balls)
Last Wicket: Fish b. Winters 0 (FOW: 146/6)

Minor collapse losing Mampe and Fish in the same over. Samuel probably won't last that long though, looking to defend around 170 if possible.

End of Over 49: 180-10, runrate=3.67
Winters 9-0-39-5
Nicholls* 68 (121 balls)

So target of 181, that is defenable I should think going by recent games. Altho that means the bowlers will all have to bowl well. Hats of to two batsmen in my middle order, time for a bit of a shuffle for future games methinks!

Damn, didn't quite make 400. Still a bloody good total though :)

End of Over 50: 396-2, runrate=7.92

Last Wicket: Cilvers b. Samuel 2 (FOW: 13/3)

Ask and they shall deliver! Building a bit of a partnership now, but Sloan and the spin twins still to come.

Overs left today: 17
Mentz 4-1-6-0
Gill* 10 (21 balls)
Buchanan 7 (28 balls)

Great stuff, supposed to be batting for the draw. Last game against this guy I bowled him out for a similar or lower total, and lost, after a good bowling performance in both innings. So tomorrow I might bat till all out for stop at 500-600 (like I'd get there) and have time to let my bowling, particularly Fillery, shine.

End of Over 40 (8 runs). BFN Bombers: 194-2, runrate=4.85
Overs left today: 70
Lebimo 12-0-62-1
Teasdale* 17 (24 balls)
Surmon 71 (55 balls)
Last Wicket: Gore c. Reynolds b. Lebimo 59 (FOW: 135/2)

Pateintly awaiting the declaration total. Don't think we'll get bowled out before that.

Marsden (+) c. Haseebullah b. Cadmore 282

Potentially Marsden will never bat for Spinners United again, so he is going out in his traditional manner. Scored more than half of the 462 the team scored and put us in a nice position to proceed from here.

The question is what will we do without him!

You better hope he sells for more than 10 mill so that you can get a decent replacement for him.

After the early scare, my experience pair have hit back. Hopefully these two see out the day, rather not have Crouch or Sawyer waste their PFL.

End of Over 35 (Maiden). Baggy Blues: 101-2, runrate=2.89
Trail by 238 runs. (Hansies Boys 339-10)
Overs left today: 88
Clegg 8-3-17-0
Chavhanga* 52 (106 balls)
Masibulele 41 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Cook b. Opatha 3 (FOW: 7/2)

Looks like I will win against probably the best team in the league but I think they are camping as they rested all their 10K plus BT rating players (highest around 40,000). I easily made 361 in 78 overs, Deane making 147* off 144. Laurent and Bridge opened the bowling and took 1 wicket between them in 11 overs each and instead of my 2 spinners (best bowlers, Deane and Gilroy) being brought on, it decided to bowl my fifth and sixth bowler and finished the day only taking one wicket. I set the 2 spinners to priority 1 and 2 and I took them all out in 55 over's, Deane and Gilroy bowling the whole lot, Gilroy taking 5/41 with 12 maidens from 28 over's while Deane took 3/47 with 14 maidens from 27 over's. After day 2, I am 260/3, Wikus scoring a century opening the batting with Deane on 61* off 69 and Afridi on 7* off 12. I might put on another 60 odd runs so I set them 403 for victory on the last day with most probably around 95-100 overs to get it which is around 4 an over but I'm pretty sure I can bowl them out with the 2 superb spinners on a dry pitch.

End of Over 71 (Maiden). Hawks: 195-10, runrate=2.75
Trail by 152 runs. (BFN Bombers 347-10)
Overs left today: 66
Bird 11-3-22-2
Reynolds* 77 (105 balls)

Thats their first innings done and dusted, now to see how they handle following on. Could possibly nail them all today considering I made a few tweaks to my bowling orders last night.

Wasted the PFL of my players for a loss :noway

End of Over 26 (1 runs). Baggy Blues: 86-4, runrate=3.31 (1st Inn: 227-10)

Parle* 5 (36 balls)
Forde 44 (97 balls)

Last Wicket: Hasham lbw b. Laurent 15 (FOW: 116/8)

Last Wicket: Merry c. Howland b. Wrigley 21 (FOW: 224/7)

Managed to scavenge a draw. Pedro played a damn fine innings to save me, stiff not to get a 100.....

Gazza_11 added 1 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...
