Why not just chuck out Jones? Prior's keeping can't be as bad as Jones anyway. That way you can bring in a batsmen or all rounder.

I did know he was at home but I didn't know he'd miss the ODI's aswell. Hadn't really thought about it to be honest.

Sami is very unlucky in tests, but he's not that bad in ODI's averaging 28.00 and has 108 in 70 matches.

I did some research, and Jones' wicket keeping remains almost the same as throughout The Ashes, while Akmal has improved signifcantly, however, the opportunities havent come behind the stumps for him.

Sami wasn't that bad in the Tests, he was economical, which suggests bad luck.
