Who will win the ODI Series

England have real problems, Andrew Strauss failed to do much today yet again! We'll lose the final ODI aswell I reckon. How could we
A. go from 54-4 to 210 all out?
B. Not reach a simple target yet again!

After such a great start with 193 in the first test, he just crumbled with the pressure of the stand-in captain job. The unsung hero is Ian Bell!

Disappointing!!!
England had a good chance of winning this match and leveling the series. Pakistan played better cricket than England through out the series and they deserve to win this as they did. Well played Pakistan!!!
IND VS PAK will be interesting as these two teams are playing well at the moment.

Pakistan were the better team throughout the whole series and England haven't emulated their performances that we've seen in the natwest series and the Ashes. Dissapointing result but the England team do look very tired and was quite weak without the likes of Pietersen (who is a massive blow as he is England's best ODI batsman), Vaughan (doesn't have a very good ODI record but still could of added a few more runs), Harmison and Jones. One positive from the series is Anderson and Plunkett though, they both performed quite well in the series despite being quite expensive in previous ODI's. Strauss is running into bad form but i expect him to bounce back and this Pakistan team looks rejunated and have the potential to now trouble the Indians and possibly the Aussies when they tour Pakistan.

great win 4 Pakistan.congrats to all Pakistani players and fans.i was in the stadium dats was great great feeling.the people were sooo excited.Pakistan team is playing very well and England team who had hopes b4 coming Pakistan dat they will beat Pakistan but sadly the will now have to play qualifying round 4 icc champions trophy(shame 4 them).

Not showing much confidence in England are you? I'd have hope they wouldn't sink so low that they have to play in the ICC Trophy! :D

Exactly. Remember the England v Pakistan test series in 2001? When Pakistan got three wickets from clear no-balls in the second test?

Sh!t happens, you just have to forget about it and move on. Pakistan have won the series, and yet their fans still moan!
O yeah, I also remember that one. The spinners almost bowled full overs in no-balls without being called. I even thought some sort of match-fixing is going on with umpires getting the money.

Losing Pietersen is a huge blow, in 25 ODI his average is 68.30!

Dear me, England are playing shocking cricket. Injuries are really hurting them which is understandable.

Do England play any more games after this tour before they tour India ?

If not, then it can be even more difficult for them as they will be out of action for 2 months !
India, on the other hand will be playing continuous cricket for the next few months .
England could be rusty when they tour India and looking at the form Kumble and Harbhajan are in against Sri Lanka , it will be difficult for them to adjust to the conditions in India early in the tour .

Remember, Sri Lanka are better players of spin than England (especially on the subcontinental tracks)

Even if England remain at No.7 and play the qualifying round for the Champions Trophy 2006 spot , I think they`ll get throught o the Champions trophy because they are certainly better than the West Indies and will beat them in the preliminary round.

You can call me sami. You dont have to write my full name. I have never said that humans dont make mistake. All i want is consistency. Too many mistakes against the same team in a series has made me think on these lines. Mistakes looks more like mistakes by design to me. That has got me really pissed off

Me too. Don't know what the score is in Pakistan, but in Australia the score was 29-5 for Australia.

And Hill joined the fun in Pakistan of Hair and Koertzen. For those who missed it a nice description:

Yet it was England who were hurtling to the danger zone. Naved thought he had Trescothick on 9 - and so did the team, the crowd and the Snickometer. Even Trescothick appeared to concur, too, to judge by his guilty expression. But the umpire gave him a stay of execution.

As I see it Pakistan have given three back-to-back embarrasments to England. In the second ODI the tail managed to get a respectable total. Third ODI: well everybody knows that. And in the fourth ODI it was left to the tail again to give England a bit of respectable loss. But good work of the tail though in the last match.
