Ok, in order to get updates moving quickly I will no longer play any County games. This will mean there will be no more updates to do with counties, otherwise I feel this story will take forever to progress.

I will make up the odd story here and there from the County scene though to keep it interesting :)

England v India 3rd Test

THIRD NPOWER TEST MATCH, The Brit Oval, day four
India 410/8 & 294 lead England 259 by 445 runs

Both Indian batsmen brought up their half centuries during the afternoon
session, India cruising along at a steady run rate. It wasn't until late in the
afternoon session that England managed to get the much needed breakthrough.
The breakthrough came via a run out, Ian Bell with the superb fielding at gully,
diving down to stop the ball and then hitting the stumps with little to aim at.
Dravid was the man to go, having hit 75 from 211 with 4 fours and a six. As
many times before, one wicket brings two, and luckily for England it was the
'Little Master' Sachin Tendulkar who went next. It was the part-time off spin
from Kevin Pietersen that claimed the prized wicket of Tendulkar. Tendulkar
went to hit one over mid-off but could only find the bottom of the bat straight
to Vaughan who took a simple catch. Tendulkar also made 75 but from just
180 balls hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes along the way.

Ganguly and Pathan settled things down through the final session, India now
well past a 300 lead. With the score at 349/5 Liam Plunkett took the first of
his three wickets, dismissing Dhoni at gully for 32. Just an over later he struck
again, again Ian Bell took the catch at gully, this time Pathan the man to go.
Plunkett rounded off England's wickets with Matt Prior taking a good catch to
his right to get rid of Singh.

Ganguly hit good late runs with Sreesanth blocking down at the other end to
leave India in a position in which they are expected to declare overnight.
England's only hope is to bat out day five, and with the pitch still pretty good
for batting they have every chance of doing so.
Scorecard

Well I think it's going to be a draw. However, anything can happen on the final day. Maybe England may collapse?

Great works Treva. Keep up the fantastic works mate!

because your story is high quality and it would be sad if you stopped it

Hmm, it's unfortunate that this story has not recieved the amount of praise and comments that it deserves. The quality of writing in the match reports is very good from the various pieces i've read. I say jolly well done Treva and don't be disheartened by the recent lack of comments. At least your journalistic skills are heading in the right direction.

I hoped for this response :p

Nah, thanks guys, means a lot to get quality comments like those. Glad to see people acknowledge all my hard effort, and hopefully this will help a lot to becoming a sports journalist.

Might play a bit more later tonight, although I expect an update Sunday...

THIRD NPOWER TEST MATCH, The Brit Oval, day five
India 410/8dec & 294 drew with England 259 & 147/7

Vaughan and Collingwood slowed things down to leave England looking
comfortable at Lunch. It was Sreesanth who made the breakthrough, Vaughan
cutting to Dravid at gully for 40 from 167 deliveries. Collingwood didn't last
much longer, Sreesanth again the wicket taker, a good catch taken by Ganguly
at cover with Collingwood on 26. Bopara came and went for 4, trapped LBW
by Tendulkar.

It was down to Bell to try and hold the innings together, and he and Prior
stuck around past the tea interval. Tendulkar was again the man to find the
breakthrough, Prior missing a straight drive which cannoned into his off stump.
India needed 4 more wickets but after Plunkett fell cheaply for 6 to Pathan,
Bell held on to give England a lucky draw.

Michael Vaughan spoke at the post-match presentation on how England
needed to improve their batting if they want to win test matches. "We haven't
batted that well throughout this series, this match shows just that. If we want
to be one of the best sides in the world then this will need to improve. India
played very well throughout the three test matches, and we look forward to
playing them again in the one day series."

Rahul Dravid was impressed with his team's improvement from the first test.
"We have bounced back well from the Lords test. We have batted and bowled
superbly and I feel this side is now very strong. We have the one day series
next, and we hope to continue our form there."

England and India now play 7 One Day Internationals before both sides head
off to the Twenty20 World Championships in South Africa.
Scorecard

Immaculate presentation Treva. How the hell did Sachin get 4 wickets? Must have been poor batting from England as shown. Anyways great works mate. This story is brilliant!

Good result for both teams, I only saw this thread now and it's amazing. KUTGW treva and I'm looking forward to the ODI series!

Sachin took 4 wickets? Good lord. Some nice batting by Dravid in both innings to safe the match but a decent result overall.

Love the presentation and your story as per usual. :)

Pakistani bowlers tear apart England

SECOND YOUTH TEST, Derby
Pakistan U19s 163 & 173/5 beat England U19s 102 & 230 by 5 wickets

The Pakistan U19s brushed aside England in the Second Youth Test to draw
the series 1-1. A bowler friendly Derby wicket saw Azhar Attari pick up match
figures of 11 for 112 while his partner in crime, Mohammad Aamer, took 9 for
179. James Harris took 5 match wickets to continue his fantastic form and
Billy Godleman top scored with 77.

England were hustled out for just 102 on day one, Alex Wakely top scoring with
26 as Atarri took 7 for 32 in a blistering spell of seam bowling. In reply Pakistan
had troubles of their own, gaining a lead of 61 after Liam Dawson grabbed 4 for 42.
England again found batting difficult but an opening stand of 133 gave them a
chance of victory. This time it was Aamer who was the main man taking 6
wickets, England crumbling from 191/4 to 230 all out. Pakistan needed just 170
for victory, and thanks to solid knocks from Ahmed Shehzad (39), Ali Asad (34*)
and Imad Wasim (33*), Pakistan made it home with 5 wickets to spare.

Unlucky for England there. A total bowlers wicket and that showed in every aspect. Strange to see the team with the highest innings total lose though. Also strange how only two Pakastani bowlers managed up share the 20 wickets. :p

7/32 just brilliant bowling by Atarri.
