Please vote in the poll, whether I should turn this thread into an England International year story. Especially seeing there is an cricket04 bug where you can't save ODI's or 20/20's without it crashing later in the game...

The task is difficult for India but they still have a chance with Dhoni and Pathan at the crease. If they bat sensibly then India can win this one. Great update mate :)

EDIT : About converting this thread into an England International year story is a good idea Trev considering the fact that you will autoplay most of the ODI.

wow, you get quite a few lbws and bowled,i tend to get most, nearly all caught :\

nice pres trev, but india have a big chance now
come on england!

Yes I have had quite a lot of LBW's.

From my bowling so far I have had this:

Seamers - 4 caught
Spinners - 7 LBW, 2 caught, 2 bowled
1 Run Out

Pathan should score now. it's a do or die situation.

BTW, Really Neat presentation Treva. Love The video!.:D.

Yeah, im australia playing india in a test atm
they are 350 odd for 5 after day 1
4 caught, and 1 lbw :D

but certainly enjoying it far more than cricket 07

Monty grabs 10 for the match as England hang on

India fell agonisingly short of their target to lose by a mere 9 runs. The turning point in the game came when the unlikely bowler, Ian Bell, dismissed the danger-man MS Dhoni. Dhoni only added 13 more runs in the afternoon session before Pietersen took the catch of the match. Dhoni drilled a good length delivery through the covers. Pietersen at short extra cover reacted well and managed to grab the ball inches from the ground. Dhoni's brilliant innings had come to an end, leaving Pathan and the tail with 89 runs still left for victory. Pathan had to keep the strike as much as possible, and did so with great affect. He soon passed onto 50, with his eyes set on the 317 needed for victory. Kumble was the next man to go though, Sidebottom claiming his first scalp of the game. Kumble made 10 runs and was a bit rash hitting one straight to Anderson's hands at midwicket after facing just 9 deliveries. RP Singh joined Pathan who had a job to keep his wicket, 63 runs adrift of their target. 22 runs was managed between RP Singh and Pathan before Monty claimed his 10th wicket, that of RP Singh. A brilliantly flighted ball by Panesar caught the outside edge of RP Singh and flew straight into the hands of Collingwood at slip. England sensed victory was almost their's, but with Pathan still going strong India still had slim hopes of winning. But after another good partnership of 32 it was all over. Pathan trying to get to the non-strikers end so he could be on-strike for the next over, was run out by a superb throw by Paul Collingwood. Even with Pathan trying to block the ball, Collingwood managed to squeeze it through his legs and onto the stumps. A fantastic knock had brought India so close yet not far enough. 81 from a superb 145 balls, hitting 11 fours and 2 sixes in the process. England take a 1-0 series lead heading into the test at Trent Bridge.
