3rd Odi

What changes would people make for the 3rd match?
looks like broad will be out, sidebottom and onions are injured too.
I'd bring plunkett in for broad, and move Pieterson from 3, he's just not doing the business at the moment.

I'm agreed on Plunkett. I'd much rather see him getting a chance than Shahzad. Also, I'd actually drop Prior and bring Trott in to bat at 3, just to see how well Kieswetter goes with the gloves and also to see if Trott, Pietersen, Collingwood and Morgan would work in those positions.

Don't see why Prior should be dropped, he has actually been one of the more reliable batsmen on this tour. I'm not one for dropping people when they are doing what they are meant to do, just to see if someone else would work. Would quite like this line-up, just to see how Morgan would react to being at 3 (assuming Sidebottom, Broad and Onions can't play)

Morgan and KP is too attacking for a 3-4 combination imo. Remember, morgan did get a few life lines before he went on to score his hundred. His creative strokeplay makes him so much better as a finisher.

Why is that prior always seems to be the one who needs to be replaced?
I personally dont see what more he can do he has been one of our best and most consistent players since he came back into the team, Just because a new kid on the block has come on the scene, in his two odi,s he hasnt performed like everyone expected has he and i dont here anyone calling for his head, if anyone needs to be dropped its kp enough is enough make him realise he is replaceable and then it might give him the kick up his ass he needs.

Right, lets some this up for those of you not understanding. I'm not saying that Prior deserves to be dropped. I'm saying that it's a dead match, because the series is already won, so it's a chance to experiment. Hence me suggesting that Kieswetter should keep. Also, Trott didn't do much wrong, yet nobody seems to be moaning that he hasn't played in this series. I'm saying we should have a look at him at 3, with everyone else shifted down one.

I hope we all understand now.

I'm saying Prior should be dropped. He's terrible. Couldn't care less if he's made a few runs on this tour, he's not made any match-winning runs (Collingwood scored the match winning runs in the 1st game, not Prior), he bottled it when it counted the other night. He has a terrible ODi record, and his keeping isn't much better than Kieswetter's. If Kieswetter plays, then you might as well drop Prior and bring someone in with some actual batting talent in ODi's. How he's playing ahead of Trott is beyond me, just pure stupidity from the selectors. Despite averaging 72 against Bangladesh, he still only averages 30 in the last 12 months in ODi's. Nowhere near good enough in the ODi squad because he's scoring runs in Test match. Ridiculous selection.

Morgan at 3 would be a poor decision as well. He's a finisher, has scored his runs finishing, has the composure to finish an innings, so leave him there. Pietersen is still our best ODi player, and although he's not made many so far he has to bat 3, as if he gets going he can take any attack in the world apart. With the squad available we should be going with:
