Trescothick departs

Loose shot costs Trescothick his wicket
Marcus Trescothick has been dismissed by Shoaib Akhtar for 26 after he unnecessarily went for a big shot but only managed to hit it straight to Abdul Razzaq at mid off. Good bowling from Shoaib, tempting Trescothick to go after the ball.

England dont need such kind of foolishness, and even though they are in a very strong position in this match, it can all change within no time.

England FOW 59-3
Marcus Trescothick c Abdul Razzaq b Shoaib Akhtar 26(51)

England lead by 257 runs

You are playing too many shots in airt buddy. With this lead you can relax and play sensibly with so many overs in hand.

wow good work by the paki bowlers...this match is FAR from over.

Pak still need a miracle to win this one. England only need another 100 odd and they have a good total.

Bell and Freddie show!

An unbeaten 57 run partnership between Ian Bell and Andrew Flintoff puts England back in the driver's seat at stumps on day 2
England looked in a spot of bother at 59-3, but since then Bell and Flintoff have pretty much controlled matters in the middle, and have seen their side take a commanding position in match. With three full days remaining, and already a lead of 314, the visitors are looking set to go 1-0 up in this 3 test match series.

Day THREE

Pepsi Test Series - 1st Test - Day 3

Well we are now into the third day of this test match between Pakistan and England, and with the visitors in complete control. After having the home side bowled out for just 109 in the first innings, Micheal Vaughan's team ended day 2 at 116-3, with an overall lead of 314.

If Pakistan want to get back into this game, they need to do something quickly.

Bell GONE!!

Sami cleans up Ian Bell
Ian Bell fell prey to an excellent Mohammad Sami yorker, bringing an end to his fine and crucial innings of 43. Sami, once again, gets the breakthrough for the hosts.
