Two big wickets for England

Day 4 started positively for England with the ball doing a bit after pitching and it was not an easy task to bat in the middle. Runs were not coming as easily as expected for Australia but still they were in a good position as they had a huge lead with them. England bowlers were trying hard to get the breakthrough. Ponting was lucky to survive as he had driven one in the air but it was just wide of the cover fielder while Clarke was nearly bowled by Hoggard but the ball just missed the leg stump. Vaughan was putting more and more pressure on the Aussies by setting a good field on the offside and making the batsman play across the line on the onside. Vaughan tactics almost worked as Monty got Clarke playing against the turn and got the leading edge but it was just short of Monty.

Finally England got the 1st breakthrough of the day with M.Clarke failed to pick up a slower delivery and driving it upishly and Harmison made a brilliant effort to catch that one. Well Harmison is not taking wickets but he has taken a magnificent catch and this catch can turn things around for sure. England got a much needed breakthrough and that too of a well settled batsman. Clarke was scoring at a good rate with 35 runs off just 48 balls.

With the fall of that wicket, Adam Gilchrist came out to the middle. Gilchrist is a dangerous batsman once he gets settled so its important for England to get this wicket early. He was out cheaply in the 1st innings but now the stage is perfectly set for Gilchrist to play a quick innings.

England applied pressure on Gilchrist right from the word go. He was not allowed to settle. 1st ball he faced was edge away to the third man boundary but then Monty was doing all the damage from the other end. Monty bowled a quicker one but it bounced little more than expected and took the inside edge of the bat and then flying off the pad straight to the keeper. England were confident about the catch and Gilchrist didn't even wait for the umpire's decision. Another big breakthrough for England but still Australia have the upper hand in the match.

Yes 2 big wickets. Good bowling from Monty and Ponting is the man we need. Can't let them get a lead of 450+

I can't see the hotspot Gamer, but great work as usual :)
