And they are 20% there. So if we are basing it on percentages the Aussie's are just ahead, not taking into account that there is only around 120 overs left... :p

Bad decision by the umpire. Can be very costly. This partnership looks dangerous so far. 3 more players to go who can bat.

Quality of umpiring has been really down these days.. Inspite of that survival, England are still in trouble. Its never going to be easy against Aussies. But good to see that they(England) are trying their best. :) Lets see.

Great work Gamer, loving the story. The graphics you produce are just superb. Keep up the good work

End of Day 4 : Cook,Bell survive

The final session of day 4 completely belonged to England as both A.Cook and I.Bell succeeded in not losing their wickets till the close of play for the day. Both the batsmen were positive in approach and their shot selection was fantastic. When play resumed after the tea session, Cook decided to play some shots against the part time spinner M.Clarke. M.Clarke was trying to pitch the ball in the rough areas outside the left handers off stump but the southpaw didn't give anytime for the bowler to get into a rhythm and smashed him over square leg for a huge six. On the other hand,Ian Bell was playing cautiously trying not to lose his wicket but wasn't contributing much to keep the scoreboard ticking. Stuart Clark continued his poor run with the ball in this test match and is yet to get a wicket. S.Clark was not consistant with his line and length and most of the time he bowled on the legs for which he was smashed for runs. This little partnership worried Ponting a bit perhaps he was thinking about the wrong decision by Billy Bowden when Cook was on 53. A.Cook was slowly but steadily reaching close to his century and this might be the second time in this test match that Billy gave a wrong decision and the batsman went on the score a century.

Partnership building for England

The light was deteriorating quickly as we were nearing the end of the day's play as a result of which Ponting decided to go back to the experience of G.McGrath and S.Warne for the final few overs for the day. McGrath was spot on with his line and length which made Cook struggle a bit as the ball went past the bat couple of times. At this stage both Bell and Cook were very defensive as one wicket here will make things more difficult for England on day 5. Both Cook and Bell safely negotiated the final few overs of the day and at stumps England scored 134 for the loss of 2 wickets.
Cook,Bell survive till the end

This session completely belonged to England as they ended with 134/2 at stumps which means that England require another 337 runs to win this test match with 8 wickets in hand. The task is difficult for England but its not impossible. With a strong batting lineup to follow, we might see a good contest tomorrow between the bat and the ball. Australia will have to take early wickets tomorrow and put extra pressure on England to save this match.
Still to bat

Wow, economical warney!
Australia are still in the driving seat but I can sea england pulling off a win!

Great work gamer, awesome stuff

Amazing pres gamer. We're ahead on percentages now! I really hope Cook gets his centruy and hopefully Bell will contribute at the other end too. We've given ourselves a chance here!

Great fighting by Cook and Bell. Now they can really look to push on in the 2nd session. If we get within around 150 runs with 1 session to go and about 5 wickets left England have a fair chance of snatching this game...

Cook and Bell are going strongly. Personally I think this will become a draw. Clarke was hit all over the place though

Great work mate. This story rocks :clap
