Third Man's Chat

davidgower4hm.jpg
David Gower : Hello and Welcome again to The Third Man's Chat . Well this Champions Trophy is shaping up nicely last match we saw Zimbabwe with a good batting response and in this match we saw Bangladesh all over West Indies with their bowling and batting but just didn't make it in the end to get those 6 runs. With me in the studio are Michael Holding and Nasser Hussain . Lets hear from this cricketing experts about their views and opinions about todays match.Well Naseer what do u think about todays match .

hussain6nb.jpg
N. Hussain : That was terrific match went till the last over and i thought that Bangladesh will make it but eventually they fell short of 5 runs . According to me Bangladesh were on top for the whole match and bowled and batted well than West Indies. On a good batting track West Indies were bowled out for just 263 and with 13 balls to spare that shows how good Bangladesh bowled and the 2nd wicket partnership between Javed Omar and H.Bashar was best for Bangladesh . We have seen some good battinf performance today . The batsmen of the day for Bangladesh is Javed Omar . He scored a brilliant 97 just missed out on his century by 3 runs but he had taken Bangladesh in a winning position .

M. Holding :Bangadesh had a good 2nd wicket partnership of 167 runs in 232 balls and its impresive by their standards . West Indies didn't even have a century stand in todays match .
2nd wicket partnership :

Today the bowlers were not on top but batsmen were really on top . West Indies were bailed out by a quickfire innings from M.Samuels . M.Samuels came in and wasted few deliveries as Lara was smashing from the other end but as soon as West Indies lost quick wickets in the middle including Lara's wicket M.Samuels decided to blast away and got 53 runs from 31 balls. He is todays Batsman of the Day for West Indies

David Gower :Thank You gentlemen . Ian Botham is ready with the presentation ceremony .

Presentation Ceremony

Ian Botham :Good Evening ladies and gentlemen .......Today we have all witnessed a terrific fightback from Bangladesh but West Indies hold their nerve in the end and restricted Bangladesh from a famous win .First of all I request Bangladesh captain H.Bashar to come forward please .

Well Habibul that was really a match winner from your team you played like Champions today and were going to win it .

H.Bashar: We bowled well today and restricted West Indies to a decent score of 263 which was certainly chasable on this track . Bowlers bowled really well with E.haque and Aftab Ahmed picking with 3 wickets eack .S.Rasel also bowled well and took couple of wickets to continue his good form with the ball. .

Ian Botham : And tell us something about your batting and the 2nd wicket century partnership between you and J.Omar ....You both got West Indies in trouble as they were finding it hard to break the partnership.

H.Bashar : When i came to the crease the score was just 10 runs and also we lost 1 wicket . Javed Omar also scored a 41 in thelast match and i knew that staying with him and building a good partnership will be the wisest thind and also we both were very watchful against the pace of Taylor and also we played the slower balls of Bravo well .

Ian Botham : Good luck for the next match.Hope you perform well against Zimbabwe ...surely we will get a tough one there.

H.Bashar:Thanks Ian.

Ian Botham : Now i will like to call the winning captain Brian Lara on stage................Well Brian congrajulations but your team was about to lose this one.

B.Lara :Yeh we didn't well today and really we didn't even reach the total we were expecting and we kept losing wickets . Thanks to Samuels quick 50 in the end which helped us to get past 250 .

Ian Botham :Also your bowlers they really struggled today and found it difficlut to get wickets.

B.Lara :Infact Bangladesh batted well and also it was a good baating track and our bowlers did their best but it wasn't their day today but D.Smith took two wickets in an over brought us back in the match and Samuels kept his cool in his last over.

Ian Botham :Well Brian Good Luck for the next match .

B.Lara :Thank You very much Ian .

Ian Botham :Now the Man Of The Match award is choosen by the commentry team and the match refree and believe me that it was a really tough decision to make .M.Samuels batted well and bowled well in the depth and also H.Bashar played a good captains knock but the Man Of The Match goes to J.Omar for his wonderful innings of 97 .

Congrajulation Javed for excellent batting performance and how do u feel after this knock ?

J.Omar: I Played my natural game from the word go and was finding the gaps easily but I would have been more happy if we had won today..

Ian Botham :Also tell us something about the century partnership between you and your captain

J.Omar: I felt very confident when habibul came to the crease and we both were playing our natural game and were planning and setting few targers after every 5 overs.

Ian Botham :Thanks Javed for having a word with us and All The Best for the next match

J.Omar:Thank You

Ian Botham :That concluds the Presentation Ceremony we leave all our viewers with today's Shot Of The Day with a six from Habibul Bashar just clearing the man at the boundary .....

Great update gamer! I am tuned for cricketing action :p

Great presentation. This is great presentation. Keep it up Gamer!

btw i will autoplay the next 2 matches ....there are two reasons for that :
1. Bangladesh v Zimbabwe lets see which team is better .
2. West Indies v SriLanka ...so that we can see that which teams wins and it will decide the groups..
if i play by selecting a team then there are high chances that that team will win ...so i am autoplaying....but i will present it nicely
