Agreed Surren. I want the Champions Trophy to come on around - again :D.

I liked the shot of the day and Bangladesh played well. Shame they could win.

Keep up the brilliant work Gamer! :)

I love the presentation ceremony, gamer. Bangladesh were so unlucky! A nice shot from Habibul Bashar there, just beating the fielder. Look forward to more updates.

5th Qualifying Match - Bangladesh v Zimbabwe ,Jaipur

Hello and welcome to the 5th qualifying match of the Champions Trophy 2006, between two minnows fighting for their supremacy . Last match Zimbabwe showed some good batting display and got a score of 200+ which showed that they are still capable to play for ICC. Bangladesh however in their last match got West Indies tensed as they were about to win the match in a dramatic run chase of 263 runs which Bangladesh fell short just by 5 runs. But good thing was that J.Omar and H.Bashar got a century partnership for the 2nd wicket :happy .Today it will be intersting to see who will win the battle of supremacy as its their last match of their champions trophy and both the teams are not qualifying for the next round so they will be looking to win one here and then go home qith their heads up.

Match Conditions
The conditions are friendly for playing cricket today . Its a sunny day , temperature is warm it will be difficult for the teams to play under such heat . Pitch is totally good for batting and we can expect heavy runs on this track .

The Toss
Bangladesh have won the toss and Habibul Bashar decided to bat first as they have gained a lot of confidence after batting brilliantly in the last match .So lets get the match started and surely it will be a good one .Lets see who win this one :cheers

Bangladesh Innings
Bangladesh started like Champions with the openers blasting from the word go. Both S.Nafees and J.Omar were in the double figures within no time. They
attacked the weak bowling of Zimbabwe and got a 106 runs partnership for the 1st wicket . Thats a wonderful start for Bangladesh and certainly they are shown their high standards with their batting. But soon S.Nafees was dismissed by H.Rinke for 46 . Poor lad missed on his half century .But there was nothing to worry for bangladesh as J.Omar the inform batsmen for Bangladesh got another half century to his name with a cracking six.

This knock has shown his consistency and ability to face the new ball is world class. H.Bashar was playing well and was watchful but he was soon ran out on 13 trying to steal a single. Javed Omar scored 85 off 79 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes before being dismissed . Crowd gave a standing ovation as he walked back to the pavillion. In the depth Bangladesh kept on loosing wickets but were scoring at a healty rate. The run rate eventually boosted up with little knock from E.Haque and T.Baisya at the end off the innings. Bangladesh were bowled out for 277 in 49.4 overs and is a good winning total . Lets see how Zimbabwe respond to this.

Zimbabwe Innings
Zimbabwe started their run chase nicely with Sibanda and Duffin playing well with 50 run partnership for the 1st wicket . They were playing nicely and Banladesh were also bowling nicely and it was looking like an even contest. Tapash Baisya was brought back in the attack and straightaway got the 1st breakthrough by taking the wicket of Sibanda who scored 37 . T.Duffin(trained by Duff :D) was showing good signs with his batting and agin he played confidently and got a breezy 42 before he was trapped in front by T.Baisya. Then Masakadsa had some problems with his timing and wasted few balls but on the other Mufambisi was batting well and scored a run-a-ball 44 .In the end the target was looking to big for Zimbabwe and also they were lagging behind the run rate . At the end of their 50 overs Zimbabwe scored 253 but showed a good batting display in their last 2 games but at the end of the day Bangladesh won the battle for supremacy
