England in comfort zone as Pieterson scores a quickfire 50

After losing A.Strauss in the 2nd over of the match, England came back strongly with some good batting display from Ian Bell and A.Flintoff just got them scoring with a decent run rate and then K.Peiterson came in and scored over run-a-ball as he went after the bowling of Agarkar and Harbhajan Singh. Dravid had some problems after Pieterson came and he smashed bowlers for sixes and had problems in setting up a good field to him . Peiterson smashed Agarkar for 3 fours in an over and Dravid had no option to take him out of the bowling attack .

Ian Bell started the smooth flow of runs for England as he took few balls to get in and then scored runs with few boundaries with his perfect timing and placement. That boundaries just gave him the momentum which was needed and then he started scoring boundaries easily and getting the scoring rate just over 4 rpo. Then in M.Patel's 4th over Bell smashed a huge six over covers and that shot just went over the boundary in no time at all . That was a perfect mixture of tremendous timing and power and Ian Bell executed that to perfection .

G.Boycott:Ian Bell is playing nicely and is doing his job well as an opening batsman . All that was needed for him to do was get a good scoring rate and also get a good partnership at the top of the innings . He is doing well now and also has got a good 50 run stand with Flintoff.

Ian Bell scoring nicely :

Few overs later everyone saw a brilliant fielding display from Mohd. Kaif which resulted in a run out . Ian Bell flicked the ball on the leg side and went for a slow 1st run as he thought that it will easily cross the bounday ropes but Mohd.Kaif sprinted nicely and slided to save the ball from going past the boundary ropes , Bell called for the 2nd run and Kaif the threw the ball on the top of the stumps and Dhoni showed quick reflexes and it resulted in a run out . Bell had his bat in the air and Third Umpire made his decision and showed him the red light . Ian Bell scored 34 runs and now England were at 64/2.

N.Sidhu :Thats a superb effort by Mohd.Kaif .he is lighting quick he covered quite a distance from the infield to the boundary and made a superb slide and threw the ball back to the keeper at the speed of light :p .and Bell was caught napping :p.Good wicket for India.

Bell's Wicket :

Andrew Flintoff was the next man to be dimissed . He scored nicely and was not looking to score at a faster rate was just taking singles and kept on rorating the strike as Bell and Pieterson were playing nicely . In the end Flintoff went for a flat pull shot off the bowling of Powar and the ball was travelling at a great spped but Rahul Dravid caught brilliantly .
sidhuau0.jpg
N.Sidhu ::eek: That ball was travelling at great speed and Dravid timed his jumped perfectly and got his hands in the right place but most important part of it was that he hung on the catch till the end. But just check out the replay he was in the air fully stretched and reaching for the ball and in the end he pulled out a stunner . This wicket has surely ignited India's hopes now.

Flintoff's Wicket :

K.Pieterson showed great performance with his bat as he went after the Indian bowling and started to score in an aggressive manner . Ajit Agarkar was introduced in the attack and Pieterson scored 3 boundaries of a single over of Pieterson . Dravid had no option but to take Agarkar out of the attack and bring on Powar in the attack along with Harbhajan Singh . Pieterson frustrated Harbhajan by scoring 2 sixes off his bowling and soon he reached is 50 in no time at all . Pieterson scored his 50 in 43 balls and is still playing .
Pieterson's 50 :

K.Pieterson: not out 50(45)4 Fours 3 Sixes

Kp..KP....Kp go KP go!

lol ;) Game in balanced atm!

England looking strong from this postion, as long as KP stays in and others support him then England should make a big total.

If India don't get KP asap then he can be dangerous in the slog overs.
Good work once again Gamer :clap

England lost two quick wickets after 25th over

After losing After England were set to get a good score in their innings they lost 2 quick wickets after 25th over and now everything looks like in India's favour . England are in a spot of bother with 162 runs by losing 5 wickets at the end of 30 overs. Harbhajan Singh and Ajit Agarkar took 1 wicket each and now all the Indian bowlers except Pathan are in wickets column.

England were going along nicely at the score of 132/3 off 25 overs as Pieterson got a good qucik half century off just 43 balls and was smashing all the bowlers for boundaries. After reaching his half century he still went after the bowling of Harbhajan but in the very next over J.Dalrymple was bowled by a magnificant off-spinner by Harbhajan Singh . Harbhajan was delighted by that wicket but he still wants to pick the wicket of Pieterson if India want to restrict England to a low score.
sidhuau0.jpg
N.Sidhu :What was wicket for Indians ...1st they got Flintoff back to the pavilion and now Harbhajan Singh is causing problems to the middle order and that was a great ball to dismiss Dalrymple ....as u all can see that "The gap between the bat and pad is so much that I would have driven a car through it!"

J.Dalrymple's Wicket :

P.Collingwood was the next man in and all he had to do was to get quick singles as he is a good runner between the wickets and give the strike back to Pieterson but having faced only 3 balls Collingwood went for an upish cover drive and it went straight into the hands of Pathan . Pieterson was not at all happy as there was no necessity for Collingwood for going for the boundaries at this stage.

boycsxs9.jpg
G.Boycott:Oh straight in the hands of the fielder ...thats just stupidity from Collingwood ....there was never a reason why he went for the boundary there and that too was in the air and Pathan took that catch with ease....that was simple lollypop for the fielder .

Collingwood's Wicket:

England are in trouble but Pieterson is still there playing on 71 and he is the only hope for England are C.Read joins him in the middle

England : 162/5 ( 30 overs )

K.Pieterson: not out 71(62)7 Fours 3 Sixes
A.Flintoff: c Dravid b R.Powar 35(60)3 Fours
I.Bell: run out (Kaif) 34(38)3 Fours 1 Six
