Story England's tour of the Caribbean

good stuff mate
lets see if your bowling is better than your batting :) and win the match

Commentary time...

"So , we can now go over to Jamaica for coverage of England's warm up game against West Indies A. We join Jonathan Agnew in the commentary box"

"And we welcome listeners to radio 4 LW as Hoggard comes into bowl his 4th ball of the day BOWLED HIM!! Ganga's gone - perfect yorker. Just the start England needed. West Indies A are 2 for no wicket. (No wicket - Duh!! Try 2 for 1)

"Pagon is ready to face his first ball. Hoggard is in... bowls and HE'S OUT!! No, not quite. A full length delivery and he's edged his first ball just short of 2nd slip. Cor it's getting nervy in the commentary box and this is only the first tour match".

"Harmison needs to sort his line out having just been cut for 4; he's into Smith... HE'S EDGED... YES GOT HIM!! A brilliant diving catch by Butcher in the slips. Smith goes for 4 and West Indies A are in trouble. Its 6 for 2 in the second over."

keep it up mate, if the runs start coming freely play a more containing field, but keep at least one slip in and a gully! I have had a few bowleds recently

"Well developments here as Aggers makes way for Henry in the hot seat. To fill you in, tea was taken with the score on 25/2, and in the first over back, Pagon has been caught behind by Chris Read off the bowling of Hoggard. This brought the aggressive Simmons to the crease, but he lasted a mere 9 balls before gloving a short ball from Freddie Flintoff to Read behind the stumps. 26/4 and England are in with a real chance of snatching this one. Hello Blowers"

"Good afternoon Mike. Wow - how exciting. It's 31/4 as Flintoff is bowling to Bravo. This one is full and wide and smashed to the bound.. GOT HIM!!! HE'S GONE!!! TRESCOTHICK!!! WHAT A CATCH!!! 31/5. Bravo goes for 10 and England are bowling magnificently"

Image is a bit small but I have deleted the original files and it looks worse if expanded. Hey ho.

"A good prediction by The_gas there as West Indies A have finally started to find their feet. Hibbert and Morton have started showing some of the backbone that the front 5 batters could not. Some very nice strokes played by these two to take the score to 62/5 as radio 4 listeners leave us for the shipping forecast with Andy Rushden"

"...Finistere, Dogger, blowing swiftly, falling gently, good"

(Author's Note to non-UK readers - that last bit may not make much sense. I can assure you it wont make much sense to us either!)

"And now its back to Aggers in Jamaica where West Indies A have moved on to 66/5."

"Thanks Andy. Well Vic, the more othodox field doesn't seem to have stopped Morton from scoring. That's another 4 crashed over the covers."

(Honestly The_gas, this is exactly how it happened).

"Yeah, bit risky Jonathan, but that was a good shot."
"Here comes Flintoff again, that's full and Morton's gone for the drive. Oh dear that should be out - Hussain's under it and taken it comfortably. Disappointing innings - he's gone for 17, caught at mid on when West Indies A really needed this pair to stick around. 66/6 and back against the wall time."

good work mate, looks like you will bowl them out for a low score! Beware the tail can and sometimes does wag

"This brings Black to the crease, and West Indies A could really use another performance like the first innings. Vaughn has set a very attacking field again... 2nd 3rd & 4th slips, gully and cover point. No first slip though Vic?"

"Not seen a ball go to first slip yet in C2004 Aggers. Anything that goes to that position is usually taken by the keeper"

"Here's Flintoff now, bustling up to the crease and... BOWLED HIM!!! Yorker length and Black has gone 1st ball. 66/7 and Flintoff now has 4 wickets and is now on a hattrick!"

come on freddie you can do it! Flintoff is normally my 3rd or 4th bowler in tests but always comes good with a few wickets

"Benn is now coming in to bat. Hope he's had time to get all his gear on. What a turnround - the crowd look shellshocked. Benn is now taking his guard"

"Here's the potential hattrick ball. Flintoff is in, full length ball and GOT HIM - HE'S GONE!! TAKEN IN THE SLIPS. Flintoff has a hattrick. Wow. Who caught that Vic?"

"I can't be certain, but is that Harmison. Yep it is. What's he doing there?"

"Who cares. He hung on to the catch. Vaughn and his custom field settings eh? 66/8 and surely all over now."

"...And sure enough it was all over. Hibbert spooned a catch to butcher who seems to have ended up at mid off this time, and Harmison had the last word by out-pacing King who edged to gully"

"So, a very low scoring game, but England win by 89 runs inside 3 days, and seeing as we lost an afternoon to rain, this game was over very quickly." Here are the match statistics and we'll return shortly for the presentations and interviews."
