Hmmm. Not a good start to the New Year for us. Blue Plastic win and we lose - so that's what: three points behind having played a game more? And we have the muppets in the Cup on Saturday as well, at their impregnable fortress ground. Still, we'll give it a good go and the lads will still be smarting after the 6-1.

Still can't believe we're talking about Man City in this manner!

Tim Howard's freakish goal against Bolton.

EDIT: Aah, video no longer available due to copyright issue. Go take a look if you haven't! :p

Atleast they wouldn't be cringing about a striker for some days.:lol

It's not often I like to be wrong, but this is one such occasion. ;)

Fergie deserves a knighthood (;)) if he manages to win the title this season. Man City have a much better squad than United. You just have to look at their bench. United's bench against Blackburn and Newcastle was unbelievably weak and inexperienced.

Okay it's Liverpool back in action again tonight at Anfield against Oldham Athletic in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Ideally I'd like a draw. Why?

Draw => FA Cup replay => Extra Cup game for Liverpool => Sooner the return of Suarez to PL football.

So if Liverpool draw tonight and win their replay match at Oldham, then Suarez will miss only 2 PL games against Stoke (H) and Bolton (A). He'll back for the clash against Wolves (A). Else if 'Pool win tonight, he'll be back against Spurs at Anfield.

P.S: Dalglish, name a 3rd string XI and play for a draw. :spy

You shouldn't be that desperate. Darren Bent is gonna come in to save you guys. :p

I take it you want Suarez back as soon as because you think he's your only hope of getting into the top 4. One man doesn't make a team and if you don't think Liverpool can beat Stoke, Bolton and Wolves without Suarez then they are nowhere near the top 4.

In other news, we've got Burnley tomorrow and we will lose.

Or rather I don't want to see Carroll play? And yeah, we definitely aren't a Big 4 team at this stage. Would love to get there but it's going to take some special football from our boys to retain that status.

Andy Carroll is a very good striker. He's just out of form. If you want someone else up front, Darren Bent would be a much better signing than a player who has never been in the Premier League.
