I find it interesting that Man Utd released a statement straight after that became public. Why didn't they just ignore it if there was no substance to it?

Great result against Oldham yesterday. Good to see Downing finally getting of the mark for Liverpool. Not sure why Gerrard and Bellamy started though. We've got an important midweek fixture against City in the Carling Cup followed by a league fixture at home to Stoke.
