I'm Comparing Kompany getting a 4 match ban and having his appeal turned down as it was two footed, but the FA saying Johnsons two footed tackle 4 days later was totally fine.

The FA are a total joke, the city player gets banned, the Liverpool one doesn't.

It was 4 days apart, in the same stadium, even the most inconsistent of morons at the FA should be able to get those decisions the same. No one is so idiotic to think those two tackles don't deserve the same outcome.

There are far too many unusual decisions from the FA, and I have absolutely no faith that they are fair and honest in football matters.

Well, consistency among the officials, from the referees all the way up to the FA, has been a problem for a long time now. Apologies for the misunderstanding. :)

Another city game, another controversial decision.

I would quite like 1 game where we don't have a penalty given against us or a player get a ban please.

Or at least be awarded a pen or the opposition have someone sent off.

The sheer amount of strange decisions really does make me think that there is something fishy going on in English football.

It happened in Italy, it can happen here.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss wembley here we come

Wooohoo Wembley here we come! Controversial decision on the penalty, but thought we deserved a draw at the very least.

That was never a penalty! Still, Liverpool deserved it - well done. So now, unless City win the Premiership or UEFA League, it's going to be a case of all that money and no trophies. :D And I can see City slipping up in the run in.

How about having two players who could have been sent off get nothing during an important home game against 3rd... No? Never mind then.

Yeah, but we played Savic, which is pretty much giving any other team in the world a massive bonus.
He was terrible again tonight.

TBH Liverpool were the better team tonight, and the winner for CB was a really good goal, I wish we still had him at city so much! Everyone except the team he is playing for hate him, and he is so talented.

Was hoping for another trip to Wemberley but meh, league cup.

Says so much about the clubs that this is by far Liverpools biggest game of the season, and we leave out our best forward from the starting line up.

Gutted Milner didn't play through, such a fantastic centre mid. Awful winger who can't get a cross past the first man, but a quality centre mid.

Well it looks like Liverpool may have found a way into Europe. Traditionally the route favoured by less able clubs but that may be their future anyway...

City have spent millions to build their current squad and they have spectacularly crashed out of the Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup! That is just piss poor from Man City!

Yeah - but really amusing for the rest of us. :D :lol :lol

It's a bit early to wheel out the 'let's all laugh at City' song, but if they win FA this year, that's a different matter - regardless what happens with us. Chances are if they don't win the league though, we will.

Champions League given their hard group and them participating in it for the first season is excusable IMO - dont think any other English team would have qualified from that group.

Their effort defeat to United was a close game - Kompany's red card decision very controversial

Carling cup is an irrelevant tournament

That might have been true a few years ago, but I think the bigger teams are taking that competition a lot more seriously now.

You know that Chelsea have spent a hell of a lot of money as well right?

Small amount of ?50 million on Terrible Torres.

Just keep celebrating being 4th in the table while we happen to be top.

I know which team I'd rather be supporting right now.

If we don't win the league we will finish second, an improvement on last year, but obviously the target for this year was to finish top.

If we do win the league, Savic will be the worse player to ever get a winners medal.
But I'd still rather be in our position than Chelsea's right now

That tough group excuse for City's exit is pathetic. Napoli was in the group for the first time in the Champions League as well, spent way less than City and yet still manage to get out the group. Furthermore, Mancini and some of the City's players have experience in the Champions League and with that, you would expect them to cope better especially in the games against Napoli.

Carling Cup an irrelevant tournament? Probably true when a team gets KOed but when they get to the final and win it, it's like getting a major success. For an upcoming team big team like City who have not won a trophy in ages till last May, they should be looking to win every trophy possible to instill that winning habit within the team.

I can't complain where we are now. We shouldn't be where we are but we are paying the price for not rebuilding the squad 2-3 years ago.

On the spending, I didn't say we did not spend one bit but we certainly did better in Mourinho's first season than City right now especially when you consider City have arguably the better players now than us back then.

:facepalm
