FOOTBALL Fifa 10

Over in EA Land, there are rumblings, backed up by seemingly legitimate sites, that the PC will be getting at least a Fifa 10 'NG' port, or at best, a Fifa 11 'NG' port! I'm waiting for an official announcement first though.

If it's not close enough to the 'NG' version, then I'm getting it on PS3 - I want to see 'NG' graphics, physics, pro passing and personality - if the PC version has all of that then it's the logical choice.

I'm really excited for FIFA11. The improved passing is evident in the World Cup game and if it is tweaked more for FIFA11 then it should be an excellent game. One thing I hope they have looked at is the keeping situation. On FIFA10 they are amazing but make some stupid mistakes and on WC10 they are less amazing but punch the ball way too often and in stupid situations. If they fix the keepers it will be an almost perfect game.

It's great news for those without a PS3, but seeing as I have a PS3, it doesn't affect me in the slightest

I also have a PS3 now, but I would get it on PC if it was a close enough port. Cheaper, there will be mods, and I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. I have Fight Night, WWE, and various others not on the PC for PS3.

By the way, it is official - Fifa 11 PC will be 'NG' - just announced over in EA Land.

True, but seeing as I have a PS3 I think it would be pointless to waste it's clear advantages over the PC. I still think it will be better on PS3 than it will on PC, just because they always prioritise the next gen consoles higher than PC and the rest.

If anybody is up for a game on PS3 then I'm online for the next few hours. Going to continue my 2nd season as Porto, looking to win the treble after the double last season (No Champ League first season is annoying).

PC version sucks. If you want a football game for the PC, get PES2010 or wait for PES11 (if it's coming out on the PC).

I know, but most my friends play FIFA, so if I want to play with them/against them, FIFA is the better option. PES graphics > FIFA graphics though. And some people like the gameplay better. Having played PES at a friend's, I'd say it's harder to score. With FIFA, it just seems easy when you have faster players sometimes. And, I've always been a PES supporter most my life. Just the playing with friends bit wins the battle I guess.

I do hope they make some sort of upgrade for FIFA 10 to get it to next-gen at least on the graphics side. But, I doubt they will.

Building up a solid team on Manager mode with Man Utd. Just wanted to put all my favourites together with my first game, so chose a big team.

Playing semi-pro at the moment, but just getting used to the game at this point.

Also, need to figure out how to get faces into the game. Some players like Ozil, look nothing like themselves. Although, I haven't seen a solid user-created Ozil face anyway.

Played Treva thrice and Ollie twice today.

Treva
Game 1: I was Uruguay and he was Cameroon. Uruguay has 3 central defenders and no sidebacks so he just played a lot of balls in from the flanks and won comfortably 4-1.
Game 2: I was England and he was Holland. I destroyed him with through balls and the pace of Gerrard and Lennon from the flanks. 5-0 to me.
Game 3: I was Liverpool and he was Valencia. I took the lead early in the first half. With ten minutes to go, I thought I could pull it off. He scored with 5 minutes left . In extra time, he scored two more as I became more vulnerable defensively after switching to ultra-offensive.

Ollie
Game 1: Since he lives in Basel (I think) and I used to live in Geneva for about 4 years, we had a Basel vs Servette match. Ended 1-1.
Game 2: I was Liverpool and he was Manchester United. I destroyed him. 4-0 to me.

I didn't read too much into the results against Ollie because there was a ridiculous amount of lag. I never have that much lag, which I why I suspect that the problem may have been at his end.

I think I've gotten a lot better tbh. I can actually compete against treva now, though he is still better.

Yeah I think it is certainly problems at my end, my whole laptop and internet is being unbeliveably unco-operative tonight, will have to give you some games again soon when it is all holding up fine.

Yeah, beat Ollie 4-1 as well, although one goal came from his keeper kicking the ball into my players back. I also tackled his keeper and walked a goal in

Still disgusted at the 5-0 loss to Shrav, but fair play to him, even if I do blame outside factors (Like the ridiculous difference between England and Holland).

Will be up for some more matches today.

Beat City 7-1 on legendary in my new Liverpool manager mode save. They had 3 red cards - all for second yellows :laugh

My only signing has been Rio Ferdinand - a very important one though. I drew the first game of the season vs Everton 2-2, but then beat Arsenal 1-0, City 7-1, Bolton 2-1 and Burnley 4-1. Struggling to keep clean sheets unfortunately.

Made it to the Champ League Semi Final with Porto. Beat Hamburg 2-0 on aggregate, both goals coming in the last 10 minutes of the 2nd leg match. My toughest match as Porto will be against Inter in the semi.

Top of Liga Sagres as well, but only just. Not as dominant a season this time round but the treble is still on. I think this will be my last season at Porto before I move on to a different challenge. Will be sad to leave Jenas, Walcott and Malouda, as well as my other signings Felipe, Tyminksi and Silva Soares, but I think it's needed.

Played Carragher and Aurellio over Johnson and Insua. They FAILED. Hard. Played Gerrard in Mascheranos role and Aquilani in AMC. that FAILED. Hard. Started my be a pro over Torres - Didn't fail too hard but Torres came on and got a 20 minute hattrick to win it haha. This is my first team formation
