Once you guys actually play it, I think you'll like it. New versions of a series will never be completely different to the last one. To re-build the code for a game in under a year would be very difficult without it being rubbish.

Meh, it's alright. The Press Conferences are really good, but I'm not a fan of the new "Manager" menu layout. I also don't like the 3d match engine, might just be my PC, but the game just doesn't seem to flow properly, it's pretty sketchy, got nothing on the LMA Match Engine. I'll still buy the game, but will stick to the 2d Match Engine I reckon.

Its quite good but can't help but feel slightly dissapointed. The 3D match engine is ok at best its really quite jumpy to be honest and I don't experience any problems on other games and I have the required specs. The press conferences are very good and the new transfer rumours seem to be quite good. I feel they needed to improve player interaction a bit more as it is exactly the same, they could have atleast changed the text so it looks new.
I'll still get it as it has improved on last years game just not as much as I thought it would.
Oh yeah, the new tab setout thing for the Manager thing is highly annoying as it makes going to say your tactics and the like alot slower

Why did they mess with the player running thing on team tactics? They can only move up or down now.

Yeah I noticed that, you cant tell your central midfielders to run into wide positions now, something that was very useful in 2008.
And this 3D engine is just horrible, I'll stick with the 2D thank you very much. It looks like they've tried to emulate Subuteo, but its come off horribly. It's just not easy on the eye at all, the animation on the figures is dire.

The longer I play the worse it gets.
I cannot believe that they have got rid of the player running thing like they have. There goes my tactics that I like to use as Man Utd. I always have Rooney on either left or right wing and told to run in between my strikers. I really don't see why they've got rid of it.

Why are there so many injuries? 2 Friendly games, and 4 people injured.

Yeh, there are far too many injuries, the tactics screen has been ruined with the removal of the sideways arrows, the menu screen is now too fiddly and the 3D match engine is jerky as hell. I'll stick to 2008 with the latest Si games patch and FM Weegie Update i think. I'll buy this when the 9.0.2 patch has been released, disappointing again from SiGames.

Yep half my team is injured. Berbatov, Rooney and Tevez all out. Ronaldo is out from start anyway. Anderson and Nani injured. Vidic, Neville and Fletcher aswell.

Love the rumors and press conferences though. Still pretty addicting, just those annoying bugs which should hopefully be fixed for the full release of the game and this game should be pretty nice.

Last year there were a lot of injuries in the demo and that was ironed out into the main game so it isn't that big of a problem, althoguh it does make it a lot harder to enjoy.

I don't mind the new 3D engine. I mean once they sort out the jerkyness it will be alright. Nothing special, but it's a start. Disappointed at the keeper movements, I have to say. Will wait for a while I think, until a new update is out, to buy the game.

I know I won't be able to get 3D but, I should at least be able to get the game running with 2D which is fine. I think Miles Jacobsen has put in another thread that there could be a patch by release, so am hoping that is the case.
