I've started the ultimate test...winning the champions league with East Stirlingshire. Lost one of the pre season games 8-1 to hearts reserves, and most of the players are shocking. Good news is ive got rangers as a parent club which means cash and some half decent rangers players on loan.

Won the first league game 2-1 at Queens Park

you're on, ive got an updated database anyway and from what ive heard thats all that is new in 08.

As poor as FM 07? You really set your expectations too high...
What else could be added? What did you expect?

FM 07 is the best game available for it's genre...

Fm 2005/2006 were genuinely brilliant games. They're let it go since those, living off them ever since.

I really haven't enjoyed any FM games at all. The last great managing game I genuinely got myself engrossed in (and still do!) was CM 03/04. Best managing game ever. For some reason FM just doesn't draw me in as much as the old CM's did.

I actually think this year has seen the most changes compared to the changes between FM05-FM06 and FM06-FM07. I really like the new skin. The match engine is pretty good and the tactics during the game are better and more realistic. The new confidence section is brilliant, and there are minor new features as well, such as, Pitch Dimensions, Fan Days, Information on Season Ticket sales and more information on the news, as well as a new news section for the division you are in.

People call FM a "data update" when they don't see changes, then when there are changes, they "aren't good enough".

Going for a challenge like Drew, but not quite so difficult. Playing as Messina in Serie B, lost 8-0 to Arsenal in a friendly and have started the season off with a 1-0 loss to Chievo. Gunna be tough getting to the top of Serie A

I understand SI put a lot of work in. But in all seriousness FM2005 was a game that hit the nail on the head really. Barring a few more recent neccersary updates; Feeder Club, Pre-Contracts with U18's Brazilians etc.

So anything they have done has been FM2005+3 really. Not because they cba, but because there isn't a lot more they can add without completely changing the game and it's format, and as much of us want them to try something new and different; It's a safer bet for the company to make money but just tweaking.

4-0 up at half time in a fixture I tend to struggle with. Lily scoring was the only problem.
