Ok, Hedger ?

ok then fair enough. Did you want to make it so that we have to name a 15 man Senior Squad for the T20 and 5 OD matches (Can include Youth) and a 12 man Youth Squad for the 1 Youth match. Also request a friendly for the T20 match, your home and you decide the pitch type and weather.

Sorry, I meant post it for the T20 match. Anyway, this is another part of story

Scott Arthur argues with Hedger

31 year old, Scott Arthur got into an argument with coach, Brendon Hedger about why he was not playing and was heard to say this, "Listen here coach. I want some game time here and now and I want to be picked for this series!" Hedger took this the wrong way by getting angry and replying, "Sorry, You are getting near the end of your career and you don't have the talent to play here anymore. If you don't like this, get out of here, we don't need you!". Scott Arthur stormed out and has said that he has had enough of the club and will never come back. Hedger has not commented on this much but has stated that it will not make any difference to the club.

Scott Arthur in his career has played 55 OD matches with 235 runs @ 9.79 with a high score of 45. A poor career saw him take 52 wickets @ 52.13 but had best figures of 6/8. His T20 career also wasn't the greatest taking 49 wickets @ 30.41 in 52 matches.

Mid-Week Update:

The week started with what would have been a tough T20 match, 2nd playing 3rd. BanglaCricketRifat (who is also top of the Youth league which both these teams are in) won the toss and elected to bat on a nice green pitch for bowling where 7,000 people turned up. In 1.3 over's, they had lost both opening batsman. Other than Alexander, everyone made some runs the captain Blewett making 67 off 46. They finished with 166/5 from their 20 over's. Feibig was the best bowler with 2/13 from 2 over's. It went down to the last ball with an exciting last over. 4th ball, Fiebig ran 3 and came back for the fourth but got run out and they needed 5 to win with Naeem coming to the crease, 6 wickets down. Naeem then hit a 4 first ball and the scores were tied up and he scored a single of the last over. Ernest Clay top scored with 78 earning man of the match. Miller also made 43.

MVP Points Standings: Ernest Clay (3 points) [78 off 61], David Mailer (2) [3/28 off 4], Francis Livingston (1) [29* off 18 and 1/15 off 2].

Hedger's Team fell to defeat against the explosive XI in their Youth match. The Explosive XI made 288/4 from their 40 over's, a strong position to be in. Carson made 167* off 124 deliveries, a great batting knock. There were no real stand out bowlers. There were 3 run outs in Hedger's Team's innings which shows something they need to work on. They fell 13 runs short of their target finishing 275/6 in their 40 over's. Murray Oldroyd, one of the best Youth players this year made 103 off 84 balls and Bilal Khaleel made 83 off 69 to get them close. Ellis also made 43 before being run out at a run a ball.

MVP Points Standings: William Carson (3 points) [167* off 124], Murray Oldroyd (2) [103 off 84], Bilal Khaleel (1) [83 off 69].

Good Start for Hedger's Team in OD match

After winning the toss and electing to bat on a dry surface good for spinners despite home team, Hedger's Team only playing one spinner but maybe it was that their opponents Flying Cows was playing no spinners and had no good spinners in their team, Flying Cows lost a wicket in the first over, Bulinya getting a leading edge straight back up to Black taking a simple caught and bowled for a duck and Flying Cows at 1/1. No wickets were coming in the next 7 over's even though the Flying Cows weren't making any progress at 14/1 off 8. However, in the 9th over, Black took the wicket of Rubia plumb in front of the wicket to finish his opening spell of 5 over's with 2/11. The end of the 15th and Naeem's third over, Mau hit it to Kwistel fielding at short mid wicket and Mau was gone for 17. Tindall got his first wicket in his fifth over, 19.1 over's in, Souza hitting it straight back to Kwistel at mid on. So after 20 over's, Flying Cows are 53/4, Tindall with 1/12 from 5, Naeem with 1/16 from 5, Kwistel being economical with 0/9 from his 5 and Gilbert Black the pick of the bowlers with 2/11 from his 5. It will be tough for Flying Cows to make a decent total.

Tindall takes 5 as Flying Cows make small total

After being 53/4 after 20 over's, Hele didn't have the best start dropping a catch which should have been caught and Dumaresq wasn't impressed. Suji and Karim survived a while before Kwistel got the wicket of Suji for 20 off 45 balls in the 28th over. 30 over's gone and Flying Cows were in trouble even after only losing 1 wicket between over's 20 and 30. Hele was given the ball after 30 over's in his first OD competitive match and conceded 5 runs off his first over. Tindall was brought back on after taking 1/12 off 5 over's and was on a hattrick at the end of his 6th with the wickets of Karim for 20 and Karanja for a duck. Hele got his first wicket in the next over, Gama Pinto edging behind to Oldroyd the other youth player. Tindall took his 4th wicket in the next over to have figures of 4/17 from 7 over's. The last 2 batsman survived a while but Tindall got his fifth wicket to finish things off, Flying Cows all out for 114. Tindall finished with figures of 5/20, his first OD five wicket haul, Hele on debut took 1/16 with all bowlers taking wickets with the exception of Dumaresq. Suji and Karim top scored with 20 each and it should be an easy win for Hedger's Team.

Nice work... You team doing well. I am waiting for the Series...

It will be a lot harder in OD next season. I don't look like promoting in T20 or Youth though. Anyway, the match summary.

Hedger's Team has no trouble as they easily chase down their target

Only needing 115 for victory, Hedger's Team were always likely to win and they did that with 31.4 overs to spare. Hele was given the chance to open the batting and managed to make 33 off 35 before getting out to Karanja. Byrne then came in with Miller and they easily chased down their target, Miller making 52* while Byrne made 28* at a run a ball. No players bowled well from the Flying Cows other than Karanja who took 1/24 off 4 over's. A 9 wicket win in the end and keeps Hedger's Team on top of the OD league, still undefeated.

MVP Points Standings: Fred Tindall (3 points) [5/20 off 9.1], Gilbert Black (2) [2/11 off 5], Bob Kwistel (1) [1/23 off 10]

OD Club Champion Update

1. Fred Tindall - 12 matches - 1499 fantasy points - 4 MOTM awards
