Karthik selection was a poor decision. Utthappa is much better than him and is a part time wicket keeper too.
It seems to be a case of forgetting who was worse. I remember when Utthappa was last in the Indian team, everybody wanted him gone. Now it seems Karthik is that man.
But is it because they simply play for a particular team or is it because they had some great players? On the long term, sure, inconsistency means a lot of failures and that results in a poor reputation, but those teams included stars such as Gayle, Chanderpaul, Sarwan and Lara. On the short term, it's hardly shocking to see a team like that win 4 out of 4 games, or even 3 out of 5 games as they did in the last Champions Trophy.i.e. Never underestimate West Indies. 2 times CT finalists( WI vs SA, WI vs Aus ) and 1 time winners ( WI vs Eng ).
Or these sides should have played only.
You'll look like fool when India are 90/5 against the Windies
