Selectors have no brains to select jokers again and again. Australia and Pakistan will go through I believe. If our team has to go past the first stage, it should be our batsmen to play the main role. Pathetic pace bowlers are going to be useless like they always do. Even if it's SA conditions, Nehra's 6 wicket haul and RP's T20 performance will happen once in a while by fortune. Thats it.

Pessimism? Thats why they are getting smashed 90% of the times and get one fortune suddenly at the end of their bad fates. :laugh It's a fact and I am sick of those. RP's smashing started from Younis Khan & Nehra's smashing started when he had his first test series trip to SA( I think 120+ runs for a wicket ). Majority of the things didn't change to my eyes.

really at this point I wouldn't let them play in the champions trophy. The team is already there and they played 2 warm up games already, it wouldn't be fair to the players that are in South Africa already and they deserve to play.

Well that would take out the dead rubber against the Windies but how effective they will be given how long they have been out of the game is another question.

I agree, it's unfair on the incumbent squad and probably not entirely sporting in terms of the competition. However, it's also probably going to be an expense the WICB can't afford right now. At the end of the day, the CT is a very short tournament and if you get bundled out in two games, you get over it. I think there's more to gain in developing the half dozen really young players they've got over there than having the proper players rushed in and possibly getting the same results due to match fitness.
