Group A - Australia, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa

Who else was talking out from the Scots? All I know is their Aussie coach spoke about being able to beat us but hey hes an Aussie what more would you expect.

Clarke fails again. Why don't they try Watson at 4?
Why don't they try Hodge at four? It's his natural postition, but Watson I think bats there too, wouldn't object to either batting there against Neverland :D bad pun.

Anyway, it's time to finally say, YEAH!!! Everyone who keeps going 'ooh Australia lost to New Zealand and England and RIcky Ponting's arrogant so they'll lose to Scotland' keep dreaming cos we're back!!!

Alright, it was just against Scotland, but at least prove the haters wrong again!

Tait's always going to be expensive that's the way he bowls. If he has a good day a 5 fer is very possible.
He'll be less expensive once he's burned in a bit, at least, there'll be more good days than bad. When he's getting the wickets, maybe once he gets a 4 or a 5, he'll be more comfortable and less preoccupied with other things, plus, every bowler has an aura of intimidation from time to time.

I didn't see that original post until now, but for the record, apart from the ocassional spray, Tait is an economical batsman in FC and OD cricket. His record in both forms is less than 5 an over, which is exeptional for someone of his pace and action, and good for anyone really.

See the number of chances that were given to Hayden and you will know the selectors won't suddenly move/drop someone.
Look at Hayden's record in Test & ODI cricket, it's right up there with the best. You seem to forget he was at one time the best batsman in the world. Of course his going to be an exception.

I see nothing wrong with Clarke at #4, and a lot of other people will agree.
So I spouse you think averaging under 10 in your last 6 innings is ideal. Afterall, Hayden's been averaging 55 this year and people still want him dropped. Watson bats at 4 for Queensland and he has an average of 50 odd in First-Class cricket. Does everything jel together now?

Spouse and suppose are two very different words Ben! Unless you and Ilovegilly are on some agreement....

It's also 'gel together' btw.

The Aussie order should stay as it is imo.

Clarke has not made a century in over 2 years now

yes he is overdue for one but he does contribute well in the middle order.

Drop him back down to six. Your top 4 should be the ones who are gonna make a century. Hussey seems to be a little outta form. I'd say maybe bat him at 4 in the Netherlands game to try and find some touch?

It's not a bad idea. I was thinking the same thing today.
