Group B - Bangladesh, Bermuda, India, Sri Lanka

I just don't understand what Sachin is made of.

Dilshan got foxed twice. He was expecting an out-swinger both times. But, Sachin bowled an in-swinger both times.

He can bowl inswingers, outswingers, leggies, offies, googlies(Kallis got foxed once). He has a brilliant arm. It helps that he can bat, too. :)

Sachin is an amazing bowler in terms of talents. But he just doesn't have the consistency. On his day he can get 5 wickets in his 10 overs, but when he's not in his day, he may get smacked all over the park for around 8 an over.

It seems the rub of the green is completely in favor of Sri Lanka.

This is not going good for India! The only change in selection today for India, Harbhajan Singh has been a total colossal failure. If India qualify for the Super 8 (looks in doubt for me still!), then Harbhajan should not play many matches! He will get killed by the superior teams! Kumble should have played!

Absolutely not going good. Sri Lanka can get to 250 which will be a very challenging score!

How is the pitch playing, has it been the trend as before, in which it is hard to play on at the start but has now flattened out?

Hopefully India can keep Sri Lanka under 275.

I am confused, you say they will not qualify, but Sri Lanka seem to be going slowly.

Both batsmen are well set and Sri Lanka are already 212/4 with 5 overs to go! Add 40 runs and its 252. Anything over 250 is a very good score on this wicket!

Edit: Dilshan GONE! Thats a wonderful wicket for India! Arnold and Vaas remain!

Ah! Superb! Zaheer gets Silva! India are doing very well here! Superb!

Should keep them down to 235!

The key to winning for india will be to bat the 50 overs, and with Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Yuvraj to do it (with the aid of Sehwag, Uthappa and Dhoni hopefully reducing that time to 45 overs), it should be an Indian win.

wow Silva with another 50, this guy has been on fire. looks like India will have to chase 250+ runs and it wont be easy for them.

Dravid is totally deflated! He has cramped up and why is he persisting on the field? Some one else can field for him.

250+ is definite here! At one stage, it looked like 230'ish. Now its definite 250+. India have almost screwed it up here! It will be a big task to chase 250 on this wicket which always gives the quicker bowlers a good chance!

yea i expect Malinga and Fernando to give India a hard time, i guess thats why Fernando was included because he is a faster bowler than Maharoof.

Crappy stuff in the end from India! I didnt expect this score at all at one stage when the team was tightening the screws. They have given 20 runs more than what they should have!

With India's fielding, even if they qualify for the Super 8, they will be embarassed badly by the other teams that will come in hard at them.

As an Indian fan, I want my team to win, but will we? I highly doubt it now!

The commentators claimed Maharoof was trivially injured. Pace doesn't bother India as much as line. You will have noticed that we have more than taken to task fast bowlers such as Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar, in the past.

I think this makes the game slightly more interesting. Our opening partnership will be extremely important. Uthappa has his back on the wall as if we fail, he will likely be one of the first casualties in our squad for the next tournament.

I was surprised that Agarkar was withheld for so long despite being the best bowler with the new ball by a country mile. He was then asked to come back and deliver one solitary over. Not good captaincy towards the end from Dravid--it probably happened because he gave Sachin 2 extra overs--the second of which was pathetic.

255 is the target, and I think we can do it. I have faith in our batting lineup-I'm saying 50 50, to 45 55 in SL's favour.

India can chase this total, if they don't lose wickets early on. I expected Sri Lanka to score a higher total.
