Group E - England, India, New Zealand, South Africa

Its a shame he was given just one over since England had 6 Frontline bowlers.
I'll would certainly give him another game because I think he'll have a lot to offer.

I'm with you on the Flintoff moving around issue.
He looks in better form and he's hitting straight as well.

I think Pietersen led to his own downfall in the run out since he didn't get going until late and he shouldn't have been running near the stumps.

Overall, England have a lot to do now to get to the semi finals.

The whole team just didn't look right in my opinion. We were too reliant on Pietersen, Collingwood and Shah to get the runs. We don't need to play 7 players who are all capable of bowling. Sure play 4 guys who you expect to bowl 4 overs, with Flintoff and Collingwood around as well, but playing Snape, Mascarenhas, Schofield, Broad and Anderson was the problem in my view and made our batting order too weak.

Mind you, I thought I was watching the NFL with the move Pollock put on Pietersen.

I thought the balance was fine.
We just need the big players to perform and we do have these guys.

Luke Wright thinks that he has to be more agressive than he is when he is naturally aggressive enough to destroy a bowling attack in any form of cricket.
He loses his feet and his shape from trying to hit the ball too hard.

Apart from that the players have shown what they are capable of in patches but now they need to do it all together and England could be on the winning side.

I would go unchanged because I think we have the right squad and we just need these players to perform and we know they can.

'we know they can'

Do we? Flintoff has performed with the bat once in the last 12 months, in that game against New Zealand in the Tri-Series, to have him at 6, with 5 genuinely worse batsmen than him below him, is a mistake in my opinion. Collingwood is good enough to bowl four overs, we may as well use him as an all-rounder and get a Maddy or Solanki in for Snape or Anderson. At the moment, if we go 5 down in a hurry, we have batsmen who are more likely to fail than not. Even Australia are willing to have a bit of this and that for the last bowler to make sure they bat to 7.

Your team mates can't be good fielders then :p

Whoops typo!Well it's actually true first ball i bowled all season was dropped next one went for 4 game over thanks for coming!

poor stuff by India guys...ind should've won really after the start they've got...they just needed a finshier after that start to wrap up things...but inexperince middle order was exposed as NZ took wickets and won the game by 10 runs...I think this Agarkar needs to be out of this team and Yuvi needs to bat well in order for Indian success and no need for his bowling...yousf n pyush shoud be in the line up for next game and HOPEFULLY opners will do the job and YUVI with classy finish to enforce indian victory...had yuvi stayed at the crease in this nz vs ind game...ind had better chances...anyways...good job NZ and better luck IND! GOOD CRICKET!

I don't consider Flintoff an allrounder anymore.
He's just a bowler who can bat a bit. I'd slot him in at like 8. His batting is really at a low right now. Ever since the WC.

india need to make sure they beat england, if they get the result against england and a convincing one as the south africa game is the last game of the group stages, they will know exactly what is required. but first win against england and play a allrounder.

I think, as long as we can get the openers and KP early we'll have a good chance.
We did well against the openers against Eng in Eng, i'm sure we'll do it again.
And about KP-all we need is Sreesanth to bowl another beamer.
:p Jks'.

I agree. I think he needs to bat lower and get a bit of confidence back or something, he really isn't fireing at the moment.

And against India i was shocked to see that Bopara and Shah were slotted below him. I think even Dimi should be higher then Fred.
lower order (not really now but typically for england)
Bopara
Shah
Dimi/Flint
Flint/Dimi
Broad
and whatever bowlers you choose..

i think the england game will be a real good one seeing as they have played soo much recently

The openers don't even come into it. The only important batsmen are Pietersen and Collingwood. Keep them out of the game and England can't score anything decent.

IDK, if Wright fires..we'll just pop like a balloon.
One bad over and we loose all of our attacking stuffs.
