Group E - England, India, New Zealand, South Africa

I really thought England would win this game after bowling well. But i forgot that we are crap, and useless at batting. Maddy/prior/snape out (even tho snape did ok we need another batter).

Loye/Bell/Jones in.

Lol, yes Geraint Jones!

i almost agree..

but i'd bring in Loye, Bell and MUSTARD!

mustard is a lefty..something we don't actually have in the team..

lol England got batter by South Africa
but I really want south africa out

Why :mad

England should play with Maddy and Prior as Opener and Dimi as Pinch Hitter @ First down, and Luke Wright should bat low is what think would work for England, otherwise I don't see them going any further :onpc

I don't see how it makes sense to leave Bell out. He has been our form player all summer scoring at better than a run a ball and hitting big scores.
I was amazed to see Snape in the team - I thought he'd been hired as a bowling coach not to play for the side.
As for Loye, he might come off but most our big sloggers at domestic level just don't have the techinique when facing international bowlers.

As a side note - is anyone else impressed by the fact that India are third in their group in the second phase despite not having won a game yet? :p

Is Bell included in the 15 men squad of England for this Tournament ?

If Yes, then it is really surprising to see him not playing .

Yes its safe to say our selectors are a bunch of inbred scum, who couldnt pick a decent team if their lives depended on it.

I say wright has some potential, i dont mind his selection infact i applauded it a while ago, but Prior and Maddy just dont have it at international level.

I think the squad was picked before he scored all the runs in the India series so that's why they left him out.I agree Bell should be have been picked in hindsight.

I really am not bothered, I'd hate for someone like Bell to get injured in a 'tournament' like this. I am not fussed if we go out, but I'd be annoyed if a key player got injured (Like KP almost getting impaled on the stumps), it does give the new players something to prove and I think Schofield has done well.

I won't read too much into a tournament like this, if someone does well, great, if not, I ain't too fussed. I personally think that Prior has improved a bit since his bad game with the gloves in that Test match. People saying Mustard, I'm not too sure, yes he's done well, but he's not really done much in the longer format of the game, has he? If we go for another keeper, I'd select Davies.

No, he's not. It was thought better to pick James Kirtley, Jeremy Snape and Vikram Solanki...
Solanki was a poor decison but i felt the other 2 just haven't had the oppurtunitys they deserve. I think we can beat India, I'm not going to say Will because this is England, the Kiwis again i believe we can win but that one i do hae my doubts over and unless something amazing happens before that game i think we'll lose.
