Because if your not in 1280x1024 res and you have 500x200 signatures or 200x200 avatars it takes up so much room on the screen its just annoying :help

You're allowed 60kb for a signature, 30kb for an avatar.

Besides, do you actually care about people sigs or avatars?

Thing i don't like about this site is that it's to strict....

It's obvious. This forum is about posts. It is not about sigs. You should be dazzling us with your posting ability, not your sig making ability.

And please could you indicate where I have generalised about why people like sigs?

Look, if you can come up with a coherent argument about why the sig and avatar limits should be increased, the admin would love to hear it.
