alright i hope this doesnt offend anybody but i wasnt awfully impressed by the new game...
1/ The gameplay is still sort of unrealistic...it's almost as if the batting tempos dont work...u have players going at a strike rate of 90 with 2 bars in batting (defensive)
2/ The attributes of most players are not accurate; I can come up with an endless list of players who should have better bowling abilities and players who should be classified as allrounders as opposed to bowlers or batsman.
3/ I don't see any improvement in the graphics; my hopes were high when i read an overview of the game
4/ The default lineups and batting orders are yet again different from what they should be (eg a retired justin langer should not even be in the squad, let alone batting at number 7 in the playing 11!)
I repeat i hope nobody's offended. It's just that this is my all time favourite game, but the last two versions have disappointed me. I was really expecting a lot from this one honestly. But the creators must try to improve gameplay and at least get the basic squads right.

Its to easy to bat. I just got 971 in 2 days. It was a tour match but thats beside the point.

there is always things like this in the new versions of icc, they are normally rectified in a patch about a month after it comes out
These should be rectified in a roster update.
As for the run-out.
Well, that will hopefully be fixed in the patch.

I'm actually very pleased with the new game, they've brought back the ICC 06 way of choosing your line and length, something which was very annoying on ICC 3. The highlight mode is also easily adjustable, without having to traul through the menus. I like the 3d Match engine, some of the shots look pretty weird, but they've done a good job. The game flows pretty well, really like the new technique training, and there were actually some sixes in a twenty20 game

I'm really liking this game, I havn't started a first class game yet to see what the new coaching features are like but my first match in ICC08 as Australia I scored just over 700 in my first innings againts West Indies. Hopefully it's not like this all the time.

Im not conviced tbh as i haven't witnessed this in the last four days ive played on it. Seems like they have got it pretty right imo.
oh well its great that ur happy with the game...im not this time...probably expected drastic changes...the overviews i read got me kinda excited...so yea maybe i AM being a bit too harsh...but once again, ive always loved the game and despite the flaws, i still bought it
