ICC Under-19 World Cup 2012

The Plates are stupid. Its just a way of according a ranking to a nation. Secondly, the crux of the U-19 team changes, so its best not to look too much into the number of wins a particular nation has.

I am expecting Pakistan and South Africa to do well here, but this is a funny game and anything can happen.

What odds you think India can pull of a win here icy?

I am expecting a 10 wicket win for our boys. tons each for Babar Azam and Sami Aslam! :lol

Haven't really followed this but I'll be looking forward to the Pak/India quarter final. I have no idea which team is better

Whoa, England were going well enough for a 250 chase, but they got bogged against the spinner, started getting out to bad balls and now they're collapsing very fast.

Bosisto has got this whole captain's knock thing down. Every bloody game there's this painstaking 2 hours innings to ensure a top order collapse doesn't turn the entire innings into a waste of time.

I can see a good season coming for Head, especially if he can slot into the successful SA one day side, but of the rest, I'm not sure. One would expect Patterson and Sandhu to play plenty of games given NSW's proclivities. Perhaps also Paris, as WA are eternally desperate for fit seamers. For the most part it seems like a group that needs plenty of development time, much more so than the last world cup squad.

As much as we people expected, the hosts and the second favourites are through. Tomorrow's matches would be interesting with the arch-rivals facing off. My odds are on Pakistan going through easily- more so cause of our recent batting effort.

In the other match, I feel the Windies will go through since they are high on confidence afte rhaving topped the group.

England made it hard for themselves, having Coetzee I think it was, dropped when he was on single figures. We seem to lack a decent spinner at this level though, which is where other teams cash in. Also, like I said earlier in the thread, too much relies on Bell-Drummond with the bat and he's just been completely out of form really.

That opening pair for South Africa look good though. Although England got him early in this game, I can see de Kock playing for the full side sooner rather than later.

Sorry, forget I'm dealing with a load of kids on here most of the time.

I have a feeling India might pull off a surprise tomorrow and beat Pakistan. Hope my gut instinct is right! If the batting fires, we have a very good chance.

2 early wickets for us but still 136 shouldn't be a problem for India.Have seen some of Pakistan's dismissals, not good shot selection at all :facepalm

India finally huffed and puffed to victory. What a nerve wrecking game! Good cameo played by Pakistan's Ehsan Adil to get their total past 100. Bad batting by both teams. They need to bat much better if want to have greater amount of success in the future.
