ICC Under -19 World Cup in New Zealand

Agreed Aouni, superb bowling from both sides. I think Pakistan hold the edge, they only need 76 from 68 balls.

EDIT: 67 from 60 now

SUPERB hit,lovely shot.

Yes West Indies win and advance. Excellent bowling by Jason Holder, 5/19 of 6.1 overs. This kid is just brilliant, deserves his nickname Little Big Bird.

Pakistan needs 24 runs from 16 balls and this is the situation where you can justify word 'Temperament'.
Great hit for six and lame shot next ball. Waqas just got carried away. Still Pakistan should win this comfortably. Great performance by young WI team.

Pretty unfair to go out in a 23 over match in the quarter finals, but oh well. This team definitely wasn't as talented as Kohli's unit.

Well played Pakistan. Couple of players from Indian side missed their chances to make in to international side straight a way. This is very simple short cut way. Had Virat's team not win the last U-19 world cup, he would have never got the chance ahead of players like Rahane, Badri and Pujara!
Since this is U-19 team, fielding standards are way below standards. They should have done better as far as fielding is concerned. But great finish by Hammad Azam.

LOL many a times the Pak U19 stumbled like anything with big shots to end in style. still India managed their best to defend a mere total of 114 (which the pak players took 8 batsmen to chase:p)

the players need to get mature at such situation :p

well played at the end.

Great game. A bit premature to judge the talent of this team, given that we only lost 2 matches in our campaign (one was against England and one today). But good work by the Pakistani boys.

Matches like these can go either way. But all credit to the Indian bowlers for making a match out of this. Lots of positives from the campaign (they're better fielders than the Indian seniors) :p

Proud of the Indian team :)

Really been impressed by David Payne. He's a future international for sure.

Nah, it's not premature to judge the talent. You could see it. The pace bowlers were all trundlers. There are a few that stand out- Mayank Agarwal, Mandeep Singh and Ashok Menaria. However, they aren't nearly as good as Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Pradeep Sangwan and Manish Pandey (although Pandey didn't have a great tournament).

Pakistan have some very good prospects in Usman Qadir, Babar Azam, Azeem Ghuman and Ahmed Shehzad.

Indeed, guys like Tanmay Srivastava, Abhinav Mukund, Iqbal Abdulla and Saurabh Tiwary were also in that team. All 4 of them have done pretty well in domestic cricket thus far, although not as well as the 4 shravi mentioned.

Mandeep Singh is the only one who really looks like he's got good talent and temperament from this lot. Netravalkar looks good, he just has absolutely no pace at all. Really needs to get into the 130s at least, because he is very consistent.

The fielding was not that bad - just two dropped catches at crucial moments, and a missed run-out opportunity by Manan Sharma in the last over.

Pakistan are one of the better teams this tournament anyway. Babar Azam and Usman Qadir look really good. Could be a good match against the WIndies. A lot depends on Braithwaite vs Pakistan's opening bowlers, you'd think.
