Lewry bowling, the batsman is Laxman (I think, maybe one of the Indian lads can recongise the stance?)

They are the best of the photo's, I have others some are blurred others have a fielder in the middle of the picture.

Some of the RHB in the photo's might not be who I have said they are, I think I have it right though.

Do we need a 56K warning on the thread title?

Edit:

Okay, I hadn't realise they were going to be that big! Shall I take out the IMG code and just use the URLs?

Nice photos there, Sureshot, though I think posting thumbnails or URI's would be more advisable.

Also, I don't know when Dhoni snuck into our Test team as a certainty. I remember that not so long back he was our preferred ODI keeper and Karthik was our preferred Test keeper. I don't recall Dhoni doing anything especially great to have been retained as our preferred Test keeper. I think we played 2 keepers in Bangladesh just in case one had to bat for a long period of time and got dehydrated.

I took some photo's yesterday at Hove
Blimey, how did you manage to stay awake, it was some of the most boring cricket I've ever seen in my life. ?20 wasted in my opinion.

Bad day for the Indians on Day 3. They are 21/2 after Sussex scored 300/6 declared. Dhoni and Jaffer fail again in the 2nd innings.

I would retain Jaffer for the first test, but now I re-visit Dhoni's place. I would take Yuvraj instead of Dhoni. Karthick can take care of the wicketkeeping, and we are replacing Karthick the fielder with Yuvraj the fielder, which is a bonus! If India bat second, Karthick has to open immediately after keeping wickets, but he is a young and a fit lad and can do that! Here is my team for the first test

Dinesh Karthick
Wasim Jaffer
Rahul Dravid
Sachin Tendulkar
Saurav Ganguly
VVS Laxman
Yuvraj Singh
Anil Kumble
Zaheer Khan
Sreesanth
RP Singh

I am not impressed with RP Singh, but also not impressed with Bose. So RP is the better of the two. Pathan would have been an asset in these conditions with his swing.

If Jaffer fails in the first test, he should be replaced with Gambhir for the second.

You weren't one of the idiots smoking, I hope? ;)

When India chose to bat there was a roar, I was happy too. But by god they lacked any penetration, didn't they? It was actually my (belated) birthday present.

Where abouts did you sit?

Didn't see any of the game, just saw the highlights, but by just looking at the scorecard it looked pretty boring, but you can't blame India, they are trying to adjust to English pitches, therefore trying to not play through the line as much as they would on dead tracks in the sub-continent.

judging by Dravid's comments, Laxman should be playing most of the tests. Jaffer will be in trouble, if he doesn't get an opportunity in the next game.

I don't think Jaffer will make the cut ahead of Gambhir for the tests unless he shows some inkling of touch in the England Lions game. I'm guessing he would be selected but we may opt to give Tendulkar and Ganguly some match-practice as well.

i wanted to know if a bowler gets a injured or batsman are india allowed to call up a replacement. where can you see highlights for the sussex game.

I presume they would have to get the consent of the English cricket board but I'm sure if it's an injury the ECB won't have any problems with it.
