England did their best, just not good enough. India would have gotten way more runs if Tendukar wasn't given out unfairly.

Brilliant match, if only Dravid said HEADS instead of TAILS!
We told you Broad could bat.
Right, 1-1, this ENgland have set a new England record for a 2nd innings OD score.
Series on!

Great game. I feel India will surely get a good boost after this win. Both sides played on a flat pitch and India prevailed.

Agarkar needs to be dropped for the next game and Zaheer must make a comeback. Agarkar was pathetic this game and all other bowlers bowled well on a flat pitch.

Great batting by Mascarenhas and Broad. Almost broke the hearts of Indian fans. If the series continues in this vein, it would be fantastic for cricket fans. So far, this England tour by India has been highly entertaining.

At people blaming Bell: What about everyone else who failed? Yeah, Bell played slow, but you wouldnt even be this close if it weren't for him. I'd blame someone who got out early by a rash shot than Bell. Collingwood and Flintoff threw their wickets away. Besides, no one would've thought that the lower order would fire like that...

Dravid would be my Man of The Match because he played faster than Tendulkar and got around the same amount of runs.

If Bell had gotten out for a duck, we wouldn't have got close, he was going to attack at the end and got out trying.
No ones at fault really, apart from Paul Colllingwood for tossing the coin so it landed on tails!:)

Collingwood and Flintoff both didn't throw their wickets away, they weren't going to get there nudging singles, although Collingwood did get out trying to nudge a single, but that is one of his shots.

Well Tremlett contributed massively to the target set, if a spinner had played we probably would have not had those extra 9 runs to chase.

Great innings by Mascherano, and backed up by Broad, just a few too many runs.

Great game and Great performence by india and england neither team played bad. Good to see flintoff back but only if he had hit that six attempt a bit harder. Mascarenhas and broud what can i say? I now announce broud an all-rounder

Yesss! Good stuff India. (apart from the death bowling)

Agarkar has got to go. He's pathetic. No pace, no movement. He bowls pies. Never looked like getting a wicket. India need some death bowlers. Patel was horrible too at the death. RP Singh did a good job, they need someone to do it with him.

That was an embarrassment. England looked out of it and they let them back in for a while there. The last 2 overs were just a shambles. lol.

That Mascrimanis or whatever he's called did well. He's a handy ODI player. May be handy in the Twenty/20 Cup.

Good high scoring match. Was good to watch the chase. Flintoff needs to stop playing the irresponsible shots early in his innings.

Zaheer being sick didn't help India. They did well considering. He should boost them. Replace Agarkar with him and they'll be better.

And about Bell. He top scored. You can't blame him. He was the anchor and until he was required to play some big shots due to a batsman shortage, he did the job well. Scores over 300 are hard to chase. I think England can be pretty proud they got as close as they did. Though they did get a bit of help from some pretty disgusting bowling at times.

edit: ^ How can you call Broad an all-rounder. Half his runs were inside edges for four?

ill say it again we should be proud and not blaming people. We had a good go at it and there wasnt much we could of done about it.

The slog sweep is a shot that exists, it is used, Flintoff can play it, had he hit it for six then he would of helped a big run chase, you don't get 150 off 20 overs in a 50 over game be taking quick singles.

The most amazing odi i've ever watched. Fantastic innings from Tendulkar, fantastic innings from Dravid, Valient effort from Yuvraj, Great bowling from Fred, and thats just the first innings. England batted really well, with Bell and Masceranhas playing magnificent innings. Everyone else got starts, KP will be annoyed, dropped twice and should have made the most of it. Some useful finishing from Bopara and Broad aswell. The 2 spinners were the stars though imo, Chawla and Powar bowled beautifully i thought. Great flight, wicket taking, turn, etc. Most entertaining game of one day cricket i have ever watched, i've never sat through a whole odi game and been so enthralled. Fantastic performance from both sides.

There was no need to get 250 off 20 overs. Flintoff fell for the trap, if he had stayed till the 45th over England would have surely won the match. Great effort by England. Got too close for India in the end. Agarkar needs to be dropped.
