India in England/Ireland/Scotland

i didn't say it was easy..

but not to try is just bad cricket....even a low full toss is harder to smash than a short wide ball

i don't expect them to bowl 90mph inswinging yorkers 100% every ball..but i do expect them to at least give it a go..

I guess so, but I disagree about low full tosses being harder to smash than short wide ones, Indians like it full and have low middled heavy bats so they deal with the low full tosses quite well.

back to the run chase..

england will need to cash in on the fast bowling , scoring over 6rpo V the spinners will be hard..

and we don't have bopara to rescue us this time as he's in hospital..

They aren't necessarily harder, but you have a chance of breaking through so long as the batsman is throwing his bat. You miss, I hit. Short and wide is much more defensive.

Maybe some bad news for England.

We have news coming in that Ravi Bopara has dislocated his thumb and has a minor fracture as well. But, at this stage, it's not clear whether he'll bat or not.

hopefully he won't have too

i feel sorry for zaheer khan here..

His good balls are edged for 4, his bad balls hit for 4 AND his fielders just aren't backing up his good bowling..

india may as well remove the slips..they not catching anything

another tame dismissal from prior..Kp gone for a duck..

bopara probly can't/won't bat..

even india shsouldn't lose this from here

India are creating an interesting mix of poor bowling, good bowling, poor fielding and good wicketkeeping.

write off Kp at your peril..indian fans were saying he could play left arm bowling in the test series.. despite him making 2 centuries and averaging over 60 in the series..

Are we talking about the guy who just fell for a duck here?

Ganguly's vying for the MOM. It's brilliant to see that the players who've been written off by the fans have been the ones to make an impact here.

Well that can be 3-2 to England then.
Bell gone which ends it.

actually u need to bowl 20 overs at England to constitute a match..

so if the match got rained off from here it would be a draw/ no-result

and bopara will bat now apparently

I was Ganguly's number one critic and still am, but as long as he performs, nothing can be done or said. He is answering his critics with fine bowling and batting to make up for his poor fielding.

3.3 overs for the win, unless the rain decides to settle down for a significant period for time.
