India in England/Ireland/Scotland

i am surprise they dropped singh..

if agarkar is a expensive they'll have to either bowl him out OR have 2 part timers bowling !

Agreed. Singh has been effective all summer. I don't know why they have dropped him now. Agarkar is just cannon fodder at the moment. Modest medium pacers is not what you need at the start of an innings.

Also, why is Lewis taking the new ball. Why break up the new ball partnership that has bowled so well throughout the whole series. I don't understand that decision.

They are continuing with Lewis. I really don't understand this decision. This is cheap runs for India.

I know it's still early days but this decision could end up costing England the match.

7 for 0 after 5 overs, now the 50 is up after just 8. England amaze me sometimes.

Lewis goes from bad to worse with some poor fielding and it seems his poor bowling is now infecting Anderson.

first 5 overs = 7 runs
next 4 overs = 43 runs..

lewis opening bowling has back-fired..broad should have opened as normal..

lewis is to slow to open the bowling in internationals.. any slight margin of error and its 4 or 6..

Well if your going to play Jon Lewis, he has to bowl most of his overs at the beginning.
It's just that Tremlett is injured and Maschranas (?) is just a similar bowler, with just a little less quality.

Finally some sense. Broad into the attack. England need a breakthrough here. And fast.

I've just heard Dimi Mascarenhas is actually fit aswell. Why is England's selection always a bit of a shambles. Monty being left out of the ashes, Monty being left out of the second ODI (I am certain had he played instead of Tremmo they would have won) and Dimi being left out of this one when Freddie can't play.

It's just stupid why bring in a bowler who hasn't played a competitive game for England since december for an all rounder, instead of another all rounder who played for England just about a week ago.

Oh no. Now Prior has dropped Sachin. Here we go again!

well india are going to need a few extra runs as they've got 1 less bowler..

that said..why someone of Lewis' pace was bowling short of a length i don't know

pitch is really doing nothing..and there's no swing either..

It's going to be another high scoring match

Tendulkar proving once again that he still has some utility as an ODI player .
He has scored 5 half centuries in his previous 8 ODI innings, three of which have been 90s.
A vintage Tendulkar knock today.
Ganguly fed off his aggressive innings. India must not let the tempo go down after his dismissal.
We must try and bat England out of the contest.

thats going to be tricky now that ganguly has gone..

and remember you have 1 less bowler..

england made 300 on this pitch last year and lost by 10 overs !!!

Big wicket.
Things slowing down here. if you go by the ole' "double at 30" rule you're getting about 315. ( only 28.5 overs now so..)
Still not enough imo. 2 new batsman and the aggression is slowing down.
Yuvraj has to take inicitive and attack.
I wouldn't mind if Dhoni came in if we lost a wicket around the 37th over, over dravid.

and a dropped chance! Ghambir with a life as Pete misses a relativley easy chance.
Good captaincy from Colly. He's bringing himself in with the ball at the right times as well.
