India in England/Ireland/Scotland

Dropping RP ?! You want Agarkar and Munaf to open the bowling ??

Faints.

well if zaheer is fit, then zaheer and agakar open the bowling with some ganguly or tendulkar anf yuvraj in the mid-overs.

otherwise if zaheer is not fit then RP Singh and agarkar opening the bowling.

I think if that was India's bowling attack, England would be licking their lips.

what are you on about?......

england have been licking their lips ever since the start of the ODI series. :p

India have never depended upon their bowlers. It's their batsmen's failure that's letting them down. If the bowlers restrict the opposition to 280 or under they'd have done their job.

I imagine he got to that conclusion because he is a keeper who opens the batting in ODIs.

well from the last match i think india have sussed out how to get pietersen out, either the spinners or bowl short to him...

from the last match u have decided this ?

if it was that easy, he wouldn't average OVER 50 in and be WORLD RANKED No. 2 in BOTH forms of the game..

he's just a little out of form..

he's made LOADS of runs on the sub-continent and hooked and pulled the likes of brett lee..

write off Kp at your peril..indian fans were saying he could play left arm bowling in the test series.. despite him making 2 centuries and averaging over 60 in the series..

India should be worrried that england are winning pretty easily, without our best player making much of a contribution..

he's due a BIG innings..

That's why they said he could play left arm bowling.

Just because a batsman has a good average doesn't mean he doesn't have any weakness. Ganguly isn't a great player of short pitched bowling, yet he averages over 40 in both forms of cricket.

Robin Uthappa has to play tomorrow, it should have got through india's flippin head that their batting line-up is peanuts to englands fiery bowling line-up]p.....

I agree
Uthappa has just gone to England for some sight-seeing.

He needs to open the batting, the two star openers havent fired as such.
They are also pretty slow up front.

Iam disappointed with Dravid`s selection policy here.
I do not see how Gambhir fits into the No.3 slot.
From what I have seen of Gambhir, he does not have a great variety of strokes and is`nt the kind of dare-devil batsman like Uthappa is .
He is`nt a solid player either.
I don`t think he should be playing ahead of Uthappa , to be honest.

If Gambhir is in the side, he has to open.
I do not see any utility of Gambhir at No.3.
At least with Uthappa, he has the strokes to go over the top of the fielders which Gambhir does not have.

england won the toss..and fielded..no flintoff

india have finally dropped a bowler in favour of extra batting..
i am surprise they dropped singh..

if agarkar is a expensive they'll have to either bowl him out OR have 2 part timers bowling !

Economical start from Anderson and Lewis, only 1 run off the first 3 overs!
