India in England/Ireland/Scotland

the rains is getting heavier, there goes an importantly needed victory for india, india cant win the series now...

this is harsh, they should carry on tomorrow.

you forgotten what happened in the last match already?

Broad took 4 wickets the last match. He was thrashed for 84 runs today. Just because something happens in a past match doesn't mean it's going to happen every time a team plays.

well the new target is 311 off 45..

in some respects the more overs that are lost the better it is for england..cos the runs required will be less (although a higher rate required).

and khan has only 2 over left...

how well can chawla and the spinners grip a wet ball>? at 18yrs old i doubt he bowled in these condition much before..

Match to resume in a few minutes.
Revised target is 311 from a maximum of 45 overs.

Those wickets before the interruption could be a real boon for India !
We need to first get through those 3.3 overs.

He has bowled a bit in these cold/wet conditions before at Ireland against South Africa.
Although it does seem that the ball is slipping a bit of his palms, looking at the first ball he bowled after resumption of play.

this task is very much possible for england, roughly i saw they needed 182 from 144, with india's 'superior' fielding and spinner bowling this match is 50/50

all thats left is the spinners colly shah and bopara are probly our 3 best players of spin..broads handy and lewis can slog..

if these two put on a decent partnership you can GUARANTEE that the indians will be thinking of what happened in the last match

Angry Sachin gives team a dose

LEEDS: Sachin Tendulkar is always ready to sign autographs or put up his bats and T-shirts for charity ? with a smile. But Team India today got a dose of the other Sachin during a meeting before nets ? he ripped into them for losing the fourth one-dayer against England.
According to sources, while analysing what went wrong in the last matches, Tendulkar reportedly said the players were not putting in their 100 per cent. ?I don?t know about you all, but I haven?t been able to sleep in the night. How can we lose these kind of matches?? Tendulkar thundered.

Sorry, cannot find the source.
Full article here though: http://www.cricketvoice.com/cricketforum2/index.php?topic=12554.0

I shudder to think what Tendulkar will do if they throw this one away.

Shah doest't seem able to get going at the moment for whatever reason. He needs to get going soon.

Ooops he's out. Goodnight England

can't imagine sachin getting angry..he's so small and quiet..

If you read the full article, you will see that Sachin put a young gun of the team in his place too. Sachin is the lockerroom leader so to speak, or so it seems.

I have to agree. When he was given out by a bad decision in the 2nd Test, he didn't boil over with anger. He shrugged, went back to the pavilion and ate an ice cream.

I think that is more to due with professionalism and respecting the umpire though.
