India in Sri Lanka 2009 (5 ODIs)

Sri-Lankan crowds threw some iron bold on Ishant it would have hurt badly

SL had really good support of crowd but dunno what happen yesterday? they were arrogant and wild  is that the way to support home team by bugging the opposite team?

wtf Arun lal was speaking? "I m sure that won't happen again"

then the security was placed, thanks to the kind nature of Indians they didn't bother about it to much and ignored the incident not like the monkey episode Symonds cried and complained, it happens in soccer badminton with lasers etc, but saw very first time in cricket!

Kick the Umpires it cost two times wicket of Sachin, SL holds some good sets of worst umpires 0they are not computers to judge accurate, but 2 times? and the Yuvi one had a inside edge and was clearly visible, that Kapugedara appeals for 5 sec yelling and the finger goes up!

getting to much negative here

Now it should just rain for next 3 games and we can go home unhurt.

The one bowler who keeps on impressing is Ishant Sharma.. Very good find in fast bowling department atlast.. I won't even say Zaheer bowled well .. especially when he was struggling to get the yorkers right.. Commentators calling him spearhead but he seemed ordinary to me.. And this Ishant reminds me of McGrath who is known for his toooo-straight bowling. ;)

I was really disappointed with the way Indians batted in last 10 overs especially in batting powerplay. If they would have got more runs like say, 300+ which was very well in the bag, the bowlers wouldn't even had to take such pressure yesterday. Anyways, now we need to focus in grabbing the series. :)

Second last over was what sealed for India.

From Cricinfo :

LOL!:D

Also, wasn't the crowd great today. They were all singing and swaying to the music. Amazing atmosphere! And it was quite pretty too!;)

I was surprised that the Yuvraj hug onto Raina hasnt been misinterpreted (so far!) by our Indian netizen fans as some "fishy" relationship going on between them. The way Yuvraj almost kissed Raina in that hug was very funny. It was a little gay:D

Only reason Sachin opens the batting is because there is flexibility in the team where he can open for the team. Gambhir was never a shoe in for the openers slot other then coming in first drop. Although he had success at opening position I still fell he should come at 3 because it would be a risk allowing two full on attacking batsmen opening the batting.

The beauty of the combination is that Sehwag and Gambhir work in perfect sync and each one knows when to attack and when to defend. When they bat with each other, they play in great sync. Gambhir most often acts as the foil (he too sometimes gets really aggressive along with Sehwag but thats when both are on song). And when they are on song, its very tough for bowlers to get them out. thats why both have blossomed so well as a formidable opening pair in intl. cricket now.

Sachin should bat at number 6. That way fielding team will always be in pressure.

Why? Because we have a weak opening partnership otherwise? We need strength at the top?

Nope. I still believe Sachin should call it a day in ODIs, and concentrate on Tests. He has to play according to age, and eek out as much as he can of his Test career. Besides, we have shown we can win without Sachin, no disrespect to the man, at all.

I would say otherwise... I would say he should quit tests and concentrate on ODI's and try to last till the 2011 WC. He has almost all that he needs to achieve in cricket. One notable thing is not featuring in a World Cup winning squad. He needs to achieve that. So he should quit tests and focus on ODI's (if he wants to). Dont quit ODI's at all (for him)

He cant play 2011. Let him score 5 centuries he has left in him at test level.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Sachin should never come from that opening position.. He won't bat... Lets leave him alone. He can't help anything when he got two bad decisions in a row... That was the same umpire right who turned down one of the plum appeals of Zaheer in last overs.

After 2011 WCup, he will say Good bye to cricket of all the forms is what i feel.. I would love to see Sachin in the team and lifting the WorldCup trophy.. May be, my dreams will go just as a dream :(

If that Wc happens India will be difficult to beat at home.

Somehow I feel, India vs Bangladesh in WC2011 final :p

Anyways, coming back to this series, in next match, I would like to see Irfan Pathan in action. Lets rest Ojha now. We will experiment with 4 seamers - Ishant, Zaheer, Praveen and Pathan. The way how Sehwag,Raina,YusufPathan bowled yesterday were much much better(>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>) than specialist spinner, Ojha.

And for some reasons, I always hate this sluggish Munaf, Crappy RPSingh, overdoing Sreesanth :p
