India in West Indies, 2009

It seems Abishek and Vijay have got their visas yesterday and have departed.Badri is yet to get his visa it seems.Just think how much frustrated that guy would be.

The ODI has not been cancelled. The practice match that India should have played, has been cancelled. So we go right into the ODI series without practice, thats all.

That's right, besides ODI giants like India, with the likes of King of Sixes Yuvraj, Rohit, Dhoni, Ishant, Gambhir, Pathan come on these guys don't really need warm-up matches, they can blow us away, sadly Edwards is not with us and that's a blow to our bowling!!!!

It seems that some of the English attitude has rubbed onto the West Indian fans as well. Great!

I am hoping Badri to score a century atleast a fifty. If so i would donate 200k to the next poster after he scores his fifty/century.

Amiya added 1 Minutes and 32 Seconds later...

Just got attention on Cricketman. Tough luck for badri.

Badri, Nayar and Vijay should be there in time for the first ODI which is only on Friday. Dont worry about their presence. They should be available for the final XI selection for the first ODI.

I am expecting atleast Badri to play. Not sure about Nayar. Very slim chance for Vijay.

Rohit
Gauti
Badri
Yuvi
Dhoni
Karthik
Abhishek/Jadeja/Yusuf
Ojha
Bhajji
RP
Nehra

That would be my lineup.Having 6 batters will allow Jadeja to be in the XI as a bowling allrounder. If we need one more batsman,we can go with Abishek or Yusuf in his place.Ill give a chance to the former though mostly.

Well this team is returning home with swine flu. Qurantine them as soon as they land. :p

He did well in Malaysia, but since his return, played a few games for Leewards and have not done well in the ODI format here, he is for the future, but not in the shortened version, at least not yet.

Could say the same for Darren Bravo though tbh. He's only played 7 OD innings and averages 20. Very much the same situation as Powell. I guess performing in FC cricket counts for more than OD performances to for the Windies selectors. Can't say either Bravo or Powell are ready yet tbh, same with Xavier Marshall. They'll be immense in 3-5 years, but leave them in Domestic Cricket and A tours for now, they'll get eaten up at international level.

I agree, which is more the reason I would not have both in the same 11, worst one of them to open!!

What??? Are you sure? Source?

I would be very happy if this happens. Would give us enough rest before the Champions trophy.
