India in West Indies, 2009

The West Indies should of gone with this team:

1.Chris Gayle
2.Keiran Powell
3.Shiv Chanderpaul
4.Lendel Simmons
5.Ramnaresh Sarwan
6.Dwayne Bravo
7.Denesh Ramdin
8.Jerome Taylor
9.Sulieman Benn
10.Nelon Pascall
11.Ravi Rampaul

Two power hitters at the top :D

And just how are we supposed to go with a line-up that includes guys that are not part of the squad for the 1st and 2nd ODI?
And it's Kieron Pollard

He's obviously saying the team that the West Indies should have taken into the series.

3 T20 losses do not indicate anything. T20s are entirely different to ODIs and Tests. We must not mix different formats of the game. Sure, the Windies might still go on to win the series but it will have very little to do with out T20 form if it does happen. We here in India tend to get very emotional after a defeat and start abandoning our team and forget how well they have done in ODIs over the past year or so (since Sep 07).
We have the second best winning percentage in ODIs since Sep 2007 and you call that as not being consistent. We have done better than Australia in ODIs. I don`t know which Indian side have you been watching in ODIs over the past couple of years.

Our team is just like our share market it sky rockets for some time then after a while crashes hard. Its a fact that Indian team doesn't have consistency like South Africa or Australia. This hurts :( but its the truth

Read the above correctly dude ;) and BTW 3 T20 loses you should say 3 damn important T20 loses. Last times world champs don't even make it to the semis what shame:mad:

They still were only T20s and we must learn to not mix up different formats of the game. 3 T20 defeats do not take away from the fact that we have been pretty much perfect in ODIs and Tests recently.

No it's Kieran Powell.

How do you not know the name of one of the West Indies best young batsmen

I know the name mate, I mean Fidel Edwards, turned him inside out a couple of times in Regional One-day, in the longer version he seems to hold his own, but you would take a guy with little to no experience and put him up to open against the Indian attack? Gayle is not taking them lightly, I admit like everyone else I want to see who will partner Gayle, but Powell not ready yet, he will get his chance against Bangladesh.

He is playing in the A team isn't he?

He doesn't have the best record in one day cricket, but he has a lot of talent. It won't be long until he does play for the Windies though. In the Under 19 world cup in 2008 he was easily the most domintant batsmen there.

Mate that is not so, there are no such report here in the Caribbean to that effect, and from all reports the matches will be played!!!
Well unless a hurricane hits :D

He did well in Malaysia, but since his return, played a few games for Leewards and have not done well in the ODI format here, he is for the future, but not in the shortened version, at least not yet.

It would be very difficult to win for India when they dont have Sachin,Suresh Raina,Zaheer,Sehwag, even few others like Yuvi,Dhoni are injured even if they recover till then, they are playing cricket continuously, they need some rest...

Certainly, they need rest, lets see how they play after their early exit from T20 WC 09..
