India tour of Australia - 2018/19

The decision to bat again only had to do with resting the quicks and piling on the misery on AUS.
Could be. But I feel it was more because India didn't want to bat last on this pitch. Perhaps Kohli thought Australia will bat better and erase the deficit and set India a tricky target of around 100 on day 5.

Well well, Mayank Agarwal has had a solid test match. He is really standing strong out there in the middle. Also I am loving Tim Paine's stump mic commentary. That is the kind of banter that is acceptable and clean. No abuses, nothing just pure fun banter. I love what I see of Tim Paine, he might not be the sharpest mind but those 3 wicket with leg gully was just gem.

Bumrah has bowled beautifully and really hope he can get another 5 fer. Well played

Btw it was Rohit Sharma who said Bumrah to bowl a slower one that got the Marsh wicket. Genius!

More to do with Kohli being a knob of a captain. The lead they secured is enough. Australia will not get within 50 off it.

Australia picking up wickets that quickly, is not good signs for them only. Imagine if India could rout them for 151 on Day 3, whats to say we cannot do it on Day 4/5? Even though we are at 54/5, India are still way way ahead in this game. A target of 400+ should be enough. Agarwal is still batting out there and we have Jadeja left. Get 50+ runs in the first session tomorrow and insert Australia (if India still has wickets left). No point going too far because there is some bad weather forecast for Day 4/5.

I guess those rooting for the follow-on are taking the forecast into account, but its a double edged sword and I dont mind the decision to not enforce follow-on

Seems like one section of the MCG crowd made some very poor comments to the Indian players bordering on racist comments even

Then they booed Marsh on top of that. Quite pathetic

They have been issued an official warning from CA

Surprisingly Kohli handled one of the comments directed to him like a boss, took off his cap and took a bow

All of them were bad shots especially che, vk and jinx.
It was a smart decision to have a man at leg gully too. You don't see a man at that fielding position often either. Smart captaincy by Paine but yes, it was very poor from India especially with a man there.

Weren't Pant comments about calling Tim Paine the temporary captain bit over the line..I feel it's time all take a breather and concentrate on the game and boosting the team morale than interfering in others lives and roles ..
Babysitting was also something I felt was not right.. Anyway different people different opinion I guess...

Nobody knows where the line is... Wonder if the ICC has even drawn the line at the right place. To me, banter talk has no place in a ‘non scripted sport’. And when players say that it makes the game interesting, it’s a load of rubbish. The sport is great enough and with the right players and right conditions, it can survive without these banters.

What a terrific piece of bowling from Jadeja. Coming over the wicket to Tim Paine and getting the edge straight away. India needed something different to get Paine out and that is what Jadeja did !!!! :clap:clap[DOUBLEPOST=1546062475][/DOUBLEPOST]Now let us hope we get the tail out as early as possible.

It is surprising not to have a fielder at mid-on when no.8 & no.9 are batting. You can see that Starc went for a loft straight down the ground, it could've been a wicket there

As I am saying this Cummins goes straight down the ground for a six off Jadeja[DOUBLEPOST=1546063508][/DOUBLEPOST]We need to bring up that fielder near mid-on or mid-off to lure the batsman to go for the big shot to get a wicket
