India tour of Australia - 2018/19

Great to see Jaddu getting wickets as well

Why aren't we enforcing the follow on? We have lead of 300 for crying out loud. Take the worst case and assume that Aussies will score 400 in 3rd innings, I am pretty sure we can chase 100 with 10 wickets in hand !

It seems there is a forecast of rain and we will be in trouble if rain interrupts the game and deny us the win.

Rarely any country enforces follow-on post 'Eden 2001'. That game affected the psyche of captains worldwide. Even if the lead is pretty big.

It was Travis Head

No. It was Shaun Marsh. Head was bowled by Bumrah. Marsh was the guy who was LBW to Bumrah. I was talking about Marsh's wicket. It was a slower ball and the previous ball was 140kph and this one was 111kph or so. Completely took the pitch out of equation and pinned Marsh down silly. It was a 'son of a gun' delivery.

What are we seeing here ? A wild swing from Hanuma Vihari on the last ball if the first over :lol:lol

And what if Australia nearly scored 600 leaving us a 300 run target ? We would've lost the match by a big margin. It is a good decision to bat again.

I don't mind not enforcing the follow-on. But it would be futile if we don't score quickly enough - perhaps at 4 r.p.o at the very least. 150 should be a good enough target for the 2nd Innings (so that's about 35 overs). Let's see how things pan out.

I'm a little concerned about the weather playing spoilsport though. You don't often see India dominate to this level in an overseas match. This is almost India-esque like situation.[DOUBLEPOST=1545974232][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well Bumrah cleaned them up 49 runs short of 200.
Have to admit, Bumrah has proved me wrong, and I'm not even upset about it. Kudos to him. I really didn't think he was Test match material.

600 ? It's a slow pitch. If they bat and score 600, they are gonna need more than 200 overs and match will be a draw by that time.

There is no way they can get anything more than 400 and that itself is too much actually.

We should have enforced follow on. And our bowlers didn't even look tired. Just hope it doesn't rain.

If India can go onto score 550+ on a pitch with unpredictable spin and uneven bounce which lacked pace, to win the Test match back in 2001 why can't Australia bat almost 2 days and give India just a bit over one session and go on to win the match ? This might be the weakest of Australian team but they are Australians and they can surprise everyone with the way they can go on about their way of play. Cricket is a sport where impossible things can become possible ;)

Ok. Let's agree to disagree !

Wow that bounced.. Very unpredictable bounce.. Vihari gone.. Was looking good but got a good one.. Ah man I wanna see him play a long innings..

But anyway decent start.. Need more runs and give them a target..

WTF is going on LOL - ridiculous dismissals for Pujara and Kohli on the easiest deliveries on the pads

And we r going at less than 2 rpo, so this whole idea of not enforcing follow on is bombing

Trust India to go from a position of massive strength to nothing in a matter of minutes. Gifting wickets away to Cummins.

Another down the leg ! This is painfully hilarious. Give away massive advantage gift wrapped to Aussies. More than anything, this gives hopes in Aussies camp.
