India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

I don't believe that Kohli isn't responsible for this collapse. Like this isn't the first time where we haven't done well with the bat and have failed miserably. This has happened many times:-
Cape Town, 2018
Centurion, 2018
Edgbaston, 2018
Lord's, 2018
Southampton, 2018
Wellington, 2020
Christchurch, 2020
Adelaide, 2020

So this is a good number of matches where our batting has consistently failed to deliver. So now whose responsibility it is to look after this? It is obviously the Captain, the coach and the selection committee. If a team consistently fails to deliver it is the Captain who addresses this issue. And today's performance was worser than the word pathetic!!!! This is the lowest ever score for India in Test Cricket and the 5th lowest overall. And when you already had similar issues 7 times earlier and you fail for the 8th time then there is no excuse. It is the Captain's fault to some extent.
Yes I blame Kohli for the other 8 batsmen getting out too ......

I don't blame him for other 8 batsman who got out but I definitely to some extent blame him for not letting those other 8 players settle in the team. You have a core of 3 really good Test batsmen in Rahane, Pujara and Kohli himself who should be performing consistently but what he did was make the other 2 feel uncomfortable regarding their place in the team plus he did not find a stable opening pair and even if he did he showed them the exit door. He had a talented batsman in the team who scored a triple hundred, YES A TRIPLE HUNDRED and he is no longer in the squad or anywhere near it(Karun Nair). Then he had a reliable opener who had the experience of playing Overseas and he was actually the best player in those conditions during 2013-15, now he is no longer able to get his feet in any recognized form of Cricket(Murali Vijay). He had a prolific run-scorer from the domestic Circuit with him who is yet to make his Test debut(Shubman Gill). There is a talented batsman in the squad but yet his issues aren't addressed in the last 3-4 years now(KL Rahul). Then you have the Captain of India's 2018 U19 World Cup who has a visible weakness and yet he is making the team(Prithvi Shaw). He has a destructive wicket-keeper batsman in the team who is unnecessarily benched even after scoring hundreds in England and Australia and he has a career best of 159* in Australia(Rishabh Pant). Yet he failed to find a stable batting order for 5 LONG YEARS NOW!!!

Except it's not lol :p
I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd be the first one to laugh at Pakistan if this happened to them (through the tears, of course), but I don't think Pakistan has had this happen to them when they were at their strongest. Yes, you can bring up that one time England rolled Inzi's Xi out for 40-odd something, but for a team of India's calibre, a team that is considered to be THE team to beat with all their talent and skillfulness, this is just unprecedented.[DOUBLEPOST=1608375349][/DOUBLEPOST]This would be like if Ponting's Australia got rolled out for 30, not Clarke's flock of misfits being dismissed for whatever happened to them in that match where Broad took six.

I would rather appreciate it if people didn't bring politics in here, even as an obvious joke or throwaway comment. Cricket is one of those few joys we have that take us away from the toxicity of divisive politics. Let's try and keep it to that.

Also, as a Pakistani cricket fan, I am astonished that people are frustrated with India's batting. This seems like I've entered the twilight zone or something. Every team has collapses but surely we can appreciate that all in all India has a pretty solid batting line up to say the least.
